Felix Cash -2000 vs Vaughn Alexander +750

  • London, England – DAZN

36-year-old Vaughn Alexander has a decent record. The massive underdog in this is 17-6-1 with 10 knockout wins. Alexander has lost a single bout via technical knockout, to Zach Parker back in March 2021.

Cash is 15-0 with 10 KO or TKO wins. Vaughn has a couple of wins and a draw in his last 3. So the dog will put up a fight in this, but it won’t be enough. Cash wins via knockout. Considering playing no, the fight won’t go the distance at -120.

Boxing Pick: No – The fight won’t go the distance -120

Israil Madrimov -900 vs Michael Soro +550

This bout is a rematch of a bout that happened last Dec. 17. In that fight, Israil Madrimov dominated Soro on his way to a ninth round technical knockout win.

Before the loss, Soro had won five straight. Overall, the underdog in this has a decent 35-3-1 record with 24 knockout victories. But Soro has a lot of fights in his native France.

We must question Soro’s quality of competition. Madrimov wins and he will win by knockout or technical knockout. Madrimov by TKO, KO, or DQ on MyBookie is -120. That’s the best play to make.

Boxing Pick: Madrimov by KO, TKO, or DQ -120

Derek Chisora +235 vs Kubrat Pulev -275

No doubt, 29-2 Kubrat Pulev is in better form than 23-12 Derek Chisora. Also, Kubrat beat Derek back in 2016 via 12-round split decision.

So there are a ton of reasons to go with Pulev in this bout, including the fact Pulev bounced back from losing to Anthony Joshua in 2020 to beat Jerry Forrest via unanimous decision this past May.

Chisora is on a 3-match losing streak. All 3 losses were via unanimous decision. 1 loss happened versus one of the best boxers on the planet, Oleksander Usyk. The other 2 losses happened against the very good Joseph Parker. This is a step down for Chisora. The dog can win.

Boxing Pick: Derek Chisora

Brandon Figueroa -700 vs Carlos Castro +400

  • San Antonio, Texas – Showtime

On Saturday night, Brandon Figueroa hopes to get back on the winning track. Figueroa lost his last bout via majority decision to Stephen Fulton.

The match versus Fulton was for the WBC and WBO bantamweight belts. But just because Figeuroa isn’t fighting for a belt, it doesn’t mean he’s fighting a lesser opponent.

Carlos Castro heads into this after losing to Luis Nery. The loss happened via split decision. Perhaps, Figueroa suffers the effects of losing for the first time. The Nery loss was Castro’s first, but he knows he’s the underdog in this. Don’t be surprised if Castro shows up with more fire than Figeuroa.

Boxing Pick: Carlos Castro

Rey Vargas -125 vs Mark Magsayo +105

  • WBC Featherweight Title – 12-rounds

Rey Vargas has a dynamite 35-0 record with 22 knockout or technical knockout wins. Vargas also has some big time physical advantages in this contest.

He has a 4 ½-inch height advantage and a 2 inches reach advantage. But Vargas has some flaws that Magsayo can exploit.

The challenger to Magsayo’s strap doesn’t move his feet all that well. He’s also much slower than the champion and doesn’t fight well inside. The titleholder gets it done.

Boxing Pick: Mark Magsayo
