  • Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas, NV
  • TV / Streaming: ESPN/ESPN+

Michael Johnson +200 vs Jamie Mullarkey -240

There’s a reason Mullarkey is the favorite. The chalk has a better record than Johnson, 14-5 compared to 21-17.

The favorite also has a couple of physical advantages. Mullarkey is 2 inches taller and has a ½” reach advantage. The reach advantage doesn’t sound like much, but Johnson is just 2-9 via submission victories. So if the underdog can’t get to Mullarkey in the stand up, and the chalk gets the fight to the mat, it could be over.

UFC Fight Night: Jamie Mullarkey

Cynthia Calvillo -150 vs Nina Nunes +125

Calvillo is on an 0-3 losing streak. The favorite in this has dropped matches to Katlyn Chookagian in 2020, and Jessica Andrade and Andrea Lee last year.

Nina Nunes has lost 2 straight. The first loss happened in 2019. Her second loss happened in 2021. Neither fighter seems to have an edge. But Calvillo has the better ground game and her losses were versus much better fighters. The chalk wins.

UFC Fight Night: Cynthia Calvillo

Jared Vanderaa -200 vs Chase Sherman +170

12-8 Vanderaa is the favorite over 15-10 Sherman in what promises to be an exciting bout. Both brawlers stand 6’ 4”. Vanderaa has a 2-inch reach advantage.

Sherman appears to have more power than Vanderaa. But the dog is on a 4-match losing streak. Vanderaa has lost 3 straight. If the fight goes to the ground Jared has a decided advantage. If it doesn’t, who knows? The underdog might land a few. Sherman is 14-4 via technical knockout or knockout.

UFC Fight Night: Chase Sherman

Douglas Silva de Andrade +270 vs Said Nurmagomedov -340

A couple of mixed-martial-artists with excellent records step into the Octagon when de Andrade takes on Nurmagomedov. The underdog is 28-4.

The chalk is 15-2. Nurmagomedov has won his last couple of bouts. So has de Andrade. This is a tough one to handicap, but the favorite is 4-0 via TKO or KO wins and 4-0 via submission wins. The underdog may not be patient enough to try and win via decision.

UFC Fight Night: Said Nurmagomedov

Caio Borralho -230 vs Armen Petrosyan +190

11-1 Caio Borralho hasn’t lost since 2015 when Jao Carvalho beat him via unanimous decision. Barralho is 4-0 via technical knockout or knockout and 3-0 via submission.

Armen Petrosyan is 7-1. Hassan Yousefi knocked Petrosyan out via punches in a 2021 bout. Since then, the underdog has won 3 straight.

Petrosyan is taller by 4 inches, but Borralho has a 4-inch reach advantage. The chalk has skills for days. He can win via knockout, submission, or use his reach advantage to pile up points. Borralho gets the nod.

UFC Fight Night: Caio Borralho

Rafael Dos Anjos +180 vs Rafael Fiziev -220

Since a 2020 unanimous decision loss to Michael Chiesa, Rafael Dos Anjos has won 2 straight, beating Paul Felder via split decision and then beating Renato Moicano via unanimous decision.

11-1 Rafael Fiziev has won 5 straight. Fiziev is a patient fighter. He will go for the knockout if it presents itself. If it doesn’t, he’ll work for a decision victory. The favorite in the main event should prevail.
