Super Early Picks for the 2016-17 College Football Championship

Written by on May 31, 2016

Thanks to the release of myriad 2016 college football betting odds, you should know that it’s never too early for online college football betting! With that thought in mind, I’m going to reveal five super early picks for the upcoming 2016-17 NCAA college football season that could help you cash in long before the new season gets underway. Okay, let’s rock and roll people!

Super Early Picks for the 2016-17 College Football Championship

UCLA 9 (over -120)

The Bruins underachieved (again) in 2015, going 8-5 and just 5-4 in Pac-12 play. The good news is that UCLA returns talented sophomore signal-caller Josh Rosen. The bad news is that the Bruins have questions marks along the offensive line and on defense after losing star linebacker Myles Jack. 10 wins is not out of he question for Jim Mora’s team, but it’s also not likely. The Pick: Push 9 Wins

USC 7.5 (over -120)

The Trojans are another underachieving Pac-12 title hopeful that went 8-6 a year ago despite possessing a roster full of talent. With talented signal-caller Cod Kessler gone, the Trojans need a new starting quarterback first and foremost. USC faces an extremely difficult schedule in 2016 with dates against Alabama, Stanford, Utah, Oregon, UCLA and Notre Dame on the docket. Play the Under against USC’s online college football odds people. The Pick: Under 7.5 Wins

Oregon 8.5 (under -120)

Oregon will have a new QB following the departure of Vernon Adams Jr. and it will likely be transfer Dakota Prukop. The Ducks also need to replace All-American defensive lineman DeForest Buckner and shore up a secondary that was mediocre at best a year ago. Still, Oregon has a ton of talent and should be able to reach nine wins because of their explosive offensive system if nothing else. The Pick: Over 8.5 Wins

Louisville 9

Louisville has a possible star in sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson, but the Cardinals still have issues to address on both lines as well as their mediocre secondary after allowing 22 passing plays of 30 yards or more (10th in the ACC) and giving up 17 passing TD’s in ACC play. Road games against Clemson and Houston and a home date against Florida State means the Cards could be limited to nine wins. The Pick: Push 9 Wins

Oklahoma State 8.5 (under -130)

The Cowboys won 10 games last season, but they fell apart late by losing their final two conference games at home against Baylor and Oklahoma before getting pounded in their bowl game loss against Mississippi State. Still, with a manageable schedule in 2016 and a solid quarterback in Mason Rudolph hat I expect to improve this coming season, I believe the Cowboys are an easy pick to reach the nine-win plateau at the very least as road dates against a reeling Baylor program and rebuilding TCU squad don’t look nearly as daunting as in past seasons. Play the Over in the online college football sportsbook! The Pick: Over 8.5 Wins
