Are Redmayne, Oldman, Pattinson, and Hanks locks to get nominations?

Gary Oldman, who stars in Mank, sure looks like a top contender. Mank is the story of Herman J. Mankiewicz, a screenwriter who battled Orson Welles for credit for writing Citizen Kane. Only Hollywood believes a story about a screenwriter fighting for his artistic life is incredibly important. So, they’ll give Oldman an Oscar nom because, you know, writing Citizen Kane and getting credit for it means so much to the universe.

What actor has gotten the most Oscar buzz in the past couple of months?

Chadwick Boseman for sure. At +1400, he’s a definite play to consider. Boseman was fantastic in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. He was great in everything. Also, unlike most everyone else in Hollywood, Chadwick kept his cancer diagnosis under wraps. He showed humility in an industry where humility gets you nothing.

Delroy Lindo, who isn’t listed, has also gotten incredible Oscar buzz. Lindo plays the main character in Da 5 Bloods. Even though buzz around the film has sort of fallen off, buzz around Lindo’s performance hasn’t. If you decide to back Lindo, call up a MyBookie rep and ask for odds.

Which actor at odds of +2000 or higher can take home the golden eunuch?

The odds on Tom Holland, +6600, make him an overlay. Holland plays the title character in Cherry, an Army vet suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Holland is also Spiderman in the Marvel movies, which makes him well-known to Academy voters. He’s worth a shot if you think the Academy wants to give a Eunuch to the webslinger.
