While some of the spring leagues in the League of Legends eSports world are heading into the playoff phase of the season, there are some that are just getting started. The LDL, which is essentially the second-tier league in China, is one that is just a couple of days into the new season. Thursday, April 16 will be the third day of the season, with all the teams involved set to play their first game of the spring league season. That makes things a little trickier when trying to make picks here, so we will be looking at how these teams fared last season to hopefully get an idea of how things might play out on Thursday, so let’s jump right in. Let’s check the League of Legends Betting Odds for April 16th LDL Matches.

eSports League of Legends LDL Apr 16 Matches

Team WE Academy Vs SDX Gaming – 3 AM EST Start

2019 was not the best year for Team WE Academy, as they followed up an okay spring season with a lackluster summer season. In spring they finished the season at 13-11, which was enough to get them into the playoffs, although they made an early exit. They followed that up with a 7-17 record in the summer session. SDX went 10-14 in their first season in the LDL before getting much better in the summer with a 17-7 record and a playoff appearance. I like SDX to come out and get the win in their season opener.

Vici Gaming Potential Vs Oh My Dream – 3 AM EST Start

If you want to see a massive reversal of fortune, look no further than Vici Gaming Potential in 2019. They finished second last in the spring season, going 6-18, before turning things around in the summer. They finished top of the LDL with a 20-4 record in the summer, although they came up short in the postseason, finishing out of the money. Oh My Dream finished 14-10 in spring but went out early in the playoffs, before missing out on the postseason in summer with a 13-11 record. I am on Vici to win here.

LDG.Y Vs LNG Academy – 5 AM EST Start

We really have very little to go on with LGD.Y, as this will be their first season in the LDL, which makes it a little tough to figure out how they might do. There is not much to go on with their opponents here either, as they made their first appearance in the league in the summer session in 2019. It was certainly not the best start to life in the LDL for LNG, as they finished their first full season with a 5-19 record. Still, that little bit of extra experience may serve them well in this one.

EDG Youth Team Vs Bilibili Gaming Junior – 5 AM EST Start

In your opening season in any league, all you can ask for is some type of improvement over the course of the year. EDG certainly had that, as they followed up am 8-16 spring season with a 14-10 record in the summer season. That was enough to get them into the playoffs, where they ended up finishing second and taking home a nice cash reward. Bilibili started last season well, going 14-10 in the regular season before finishing as the runner up in the spring season. They also made the playoffs in the summer season, but they went out early. I am taking Bilibili to win this one.
