The spring leagues for the League of Legends are all now heading into the final stages before the playoffs, which means that it’s all to play for coming down the stretch. For those of you who may not be aware, the LOL is split into a number of regional divisions, as well as some secondary leagues, with each of those leagues playing independently. The LPL is the main league in China, and it is now in its final week of the spring season. The top 8 teams in the 17-team league will be heading to the playoffs, with the battle for those spots looking as though it is going to go all the way down to the wire. Let’s take a look ahead to the 3 games on the schedule for Apr 15. There are playoff implications to be found here, so some very big games to come and League of Legends Odds.

eSports League of Legends LPL Apr 15 Matches

Oh My God (+195) Vs Edward Gaming (-303) – 3 AM EST Start

This is one of the bigger games on the schedule this week, as it features a pair of teams fighting for their playoff lives. Oh My God are the last team in at the moment, sitting at 7-7 on the season, which leaves them down in the #8 spot. They are far from safe, though, with Team WE sitting right below them at 6-6. You feel that this is more of a must win game for them than for Edward Gaming, who are up in the #6 spot at 8-5. A win for Edward in this one would almost certainly clinch them a spot in the playoffs, but it could also potentially move them up in the standings. A big game for both teams, but I’m giving the slight edge to Edward Gaming.

Royal Never Give Up (-476) Vs Dominus Esports (+281) – 6 AM EST Start

With the LPL regular season winding down, the battle is now on for positions and a playoff bye in the opening round. The top 4 teams in the league receive those byes, with the top 2 going to the semi-finals, while the 3 and 4 seeds head into the quarterfinals. Royal Never Give Up are 2 wins off the pace being set by the top 4 with an 8-6 record on the season, so they look to be heading to the first round. Next up for them is a matchup against Dominus, who are down near the bottom of the league at 5-9 and basically now just looking to play the role of spoiler. I don’t see them doing that here, though, as I think Royal Never Give up take one step, closer to the spring playoffs.

Invictus Gaming (-434) Vs Team WE (+258) – 8 AM EST Start

Barring a major collapse in their final games of the season, Invictus Gaming look as though they are going to have a rather clear path to the semi-finals of the LPL. They are currently sitting at the top of the league with an 11-2 record and are essentially the team to beat right now. They are coming into this one as a rather heavy favorite against Team WE, who still have a shot at making the playoffs. They are at 6-6 right now and are in 9th, with the top 8 moving on to the postseason. WE really need a win here, but I just don’t see it happening against the best team in the league.
