 Guangzhou Charge vs. Hangzhou Spark

Guangzhou is sitting in 12th place in the Overwatch League standings at 3-3 in six series and 11-13 in maps. The Charge have won three of their last five series, but they come into this affair off a humbling 3-0 shutout loss against Shanghai on April 12. Guangzhou has split their last 10 matches evenly while winning 62 of their last 100 matches overall.

Hangzhou is sitting in eighth place in the Overwatch League standings at 3-2 in five matches and 11-10 in maps. The Spark have won two straight and three of their last five including a 3-0 shutout win over Chengdu on April 11. Hangzhou has split their last 10 matches evenly while winning 67 of their last 100 matches overall.

Prediction

These two rivals have split four all-time head-to-head meetings with Hangzhou picking up a hard-fought 3-2 win on April 6 in their last meeting. This matchup looks like it’s going to come down to the wire, but in the end, I’m going with Hangzhou to pull out the super narrow win in a thriller.

Pick: Hangzhou 3:2

Chengdu Hunters vs. Shanghai Dragons

Chengdu is sitting in 16th place in the Overwatch League standings at 2-4 in six series and 11013 in maps. The Hunters have just one victory in their last five series though their 3-1 win over Vancouver on April 12 did snap a four-match losing streak. Chengdu has won just three of their last 10 matches overall while winning just 35 of their last 100 matches overall.

Shanghai is sitting in fourth place in the Overwatch League standings at 4-1 in five series and 12-4 in maps. The Dragons are on fire, having won five straight series including a convincing 3-0 shutout win over Guangzhou on April 12. Shanghai has won seven of their last 10 matches and 68 of their last 100 matches overall.

Prediction

These two teams are at polar opposite ends of the Overwatch league standings, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Shanghai has won all five head-to-head meetings in this rivalry, most recently, picking up a 3-1 win on April 6, following an emphatic 4-0 shutout win on Dec. 1 of last year. I’m fully expecting Shanghai to cruise to victory in this one and you should too!

Pick: Shanghai 3:0
