Which player among Thomas, McIlroy, and Matsuyama offers the most value to win the 2019 The ZOZO Championship?

Matsuyama ended his August with some decent performances. He finished third at the BMW Championship. He followed that up with a ninth at the Tour Championship. The feeling is that Hideki should know the Accordia Golf Narashino course because he’s Japanese. There’s nothing wrong with that belief. There’s a reason Matsuyama decided to enter this tournament.

Backing Matsuyama makes sense, but so does backing either Rory or Justin Thomas. Since this is the first year they’re playing the ZOZO, any one of the three could have a stellar four days.

As always, the golfer offering the better odds, Matsuyama, should get the call. Not only that, but Hideki finished at -15 and in third place at the CJ Cup last week behind winner Justin Thomas. If you want to play a low-priced chalk, go with Thomas, the CJ Cup winner, over Rory.

Which golfers at the odds of +2200 to +4000 can win the 2019 The ZOZO Championship?

Gary Woodland offers excellent odds at +2500 to take The ZOZO Championship. Woodland was fantastic at the CJ Cup when finishing at -15 and in a third place tie with Matsuyama. He can most definitely take his game to the next level and lift the trophy this weekend.

Which underdog golfer at +4500 odds or higher can win The ZOZO Championship?

Don’t sleep on Beyong Hun An. The South Korean golfer shot a 64-Round 1. He followed that up with a 69 second round and shot a 69-Round 4. If not for an implosion in the third round, An shot a 73, he might have won the CJ Cup. So, he’s hitting the ball well enough to take this.

What PGA Tournament Matchups should golf handicappers consider at the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges?

Thomas should be favored by at least -125 to beat Rory in a head-to-head matchup. He heads to Japan off a win in South Korea at the CJ Cup while McIlroy hasn’t hit the ball in a while. Take the hot golfer over Rory.

Like Thomas, Matsuyama has a slight edge over McIlroy. The odds are way off because Hideki had a great CJ Cup. He also gets to unleash his clubs on a course he should have some familiarity with this week.

Woods, McIlroy, Koepka, popular players are always overvalued in head-to-head matchups. Golf handicappers should take advantage. Fleetwood should be a -135 to -150 favorite over Tiger. Woods has yet to prove he can be consistent and he hasn’t played competitively in a long time.
