Why the Milwaukee Brewers are a good bet on the moneyline?

If manager Craig Counsell knows who he’s sending to the mound on Tuesday, he’s keeping it close to his vest. Counsell won’t start Wade Miley or Jhoulys Chacin, which means there’s a great chance he starts Gio Gonzalez.

Gonzalez pitched Game 1 versus the L.A. Dodgers. He only threw 2 innings. His arm should be rested enough for a start in Game 4. Counsell’s been crafty with his starters and relievers, interchanging them when needed.

If not for a Justin Turner home run in Game 2, the Brewers might have beaten L.A. They beat the Dodgers in Game 1. Right now, Counsell’s out managing Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts. That’s the reason to like Milwaukee.

Why the L.A. Dodgers are a good bet on the moneyline?

Are the Dodgers a safe bet for NLCS Game 4?

Dodger starter Rich Hill should have a live arm after having not thrown since Oct. 8. Hill pitched 4.l innings, gave up only 2 earned runs off 4 hits, and struck out 3 in L.A.’s 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS.

Hill should have his best stuff going versus Milwaukee on Tuesday. If he can get through 4 to 5 innings, the Dodgers should be in a good position to get the win.

Milwaukee Brewers at L.A. Dodgers Final Analysis

Even though Craig Counsell’s not sure who he’s starting in Game 4, he’s got more options than what Dave Roberts has. Roberts will start Rich Hill, which could lead to a loss in the NLCS. Hill has a worse ERA at home than on the road. Hill also allows the Brewers to bat .293.

The Dodgers escaped Milwaukee with a Game 2 win. Milwaukee could escape L.A. with a Game 4 win unless Hill truly steps up his game. Bottom line? Counsell’s got a plan, which is why he didn’t announce his Game 4 starter over the weekend, while Roberts is sticking to the script.

You can’t stick to the script and expect to win in the MLB Playoffs.
