LFA 139: Assenza Vs Melo Betting Favorites, Fights Analysis & Predictions

There is nothing quite like getting the weekend started with a great night of MMA action, which is what we are getting on Friday night. LFA 139 will deliver a 6-fight main card starting at 9 PM EST on Friday night, and it will be available to all of you who subscribe to UFC Fight Pass. We don’t have a title fight on this card, but we do have 6 fights that are of the quality variety. We are now going to take a moment to break them all down to see if we can make some winning LFA Betting picks, so let’s get to it.

MMA Betting Preview for LFA 139: Assenza Vs Melo

Lydell Poag Vs Dylan Budka

We get the main card started with a Middleweight bout between a pair of fighters who are still in the early stages of their pro careers. Poag has had just 2 pro fights, but he won them both in the 1st round. Budka lost his first fight as a pro, but he has bounced back nicely to win each of his last 3. A good one to start the night and I have Paog winning by KO.

Ryan Charlebois Vs Logan Urban

Next up is a Welterweight bout that features a pair of fighters who are off to strong starts as a pro. Charlebois got things rolling by winning his first 3 fights, but we get to see how he handles adversity after losing last time out. Urban is 5-1 as a pro and coming off a fight that ended as a No Contest, so he’ll want that W, which I think he gets via the KO win.

Teshay Gouthro Vs Arnold Jimenez

We have a pair of in-form Bantamweight fighters heading into the octagon for the next one. Gouthro is 5-1 overall and has bounced back nicely from his first career loss to win each of his last 2. Jimenez got off to a bit of a rough start as a pro, going 2-2 before reeling off 6 straight wins ahead of this one. This should be a close one, but I have Gouthro by decision.

Nurullo Aliev Vs Thiago Oliveira

Next up is a Catchweight bout featuring a pair of fighters heading in very opposite directions in their careers. Aliev is on the rise, as he comes into this one with a perfect 6-0 record. Oliveira is 16-8 overall, but he is in a serious slump at the moment, losing each of his last 4 fights. I like Aliev to keep his win streak alive, but he may need to go the distance to do it.

Tony Laramie Vs Rodney Kealohi

We have a similar story to the last one in this Flyweight bout, with fighters heading in opposite directions. Laramie is 6-2 overall and is on a very solid run of form, winning each of his last 4. Kealohi has lost 2 in a row ahead of this one, which dropped him to 5-3 overall. I like this one to go the distance, with Laramie getting the nod.

Adam Assenza Vs Junior Melo

The main event of the night is a Lightweight bout, with both of these fighters at the top of their game. Assenza is 16-6 and is on a tear at the moment, as he comes into this bout on a 6-fight win streak. Melo is 11-5, and while he is not on the same type of run as his opponent, he has still won 4 of his last 5. A great way to close out the night, and I have Assenza by decision.
