LFA 166: Neto vs. Conrado Odds Favorites, Betting Predictions & Analysis

More often than not, it is the UFC that closes out the week in MMA, but we have a bit of a change of pace this week. We will have a UFC event on Saturday, but this one is coming in the early afternoon, which means that Saturday night belongs to the LFA. Given that the headline event of the night at LFA 166 is a title bout, it does seem like a fitting way to close out this week’s MMA action. All told, we have 5 fights on the main card in this one, so certainly plenty of opportunities to make some money leading up to the headliner. Let’s take a quick look at all 5 fights, with MMA betting predictions for each.

When: Saturday at 9 PM EST
Where: Ginásio do Polvilho, Cajamar, São Paulo, Brazil
TV / Streaming: UFC Fight Pass

Richard Martins Vs Joao Paulo Silva

We get the main card rolling with a Welterweight bout and a pair of fighters who are out to very solid starts in their pro careers. Martins went 1-1 to start life as a pro, but he has since reeled off 5 straight wins, which includes a victory in his lone LFA bout. Silva comes in with the same 6-1 (1-0 in LFA) record and a run of 3 straight wins, which makes this a very evenly matched bout. I am taking Martins for the decision win.

Rodrigo Lidio Vs Samuel Silva

Next up is a Lightweight bout between a pair of fighters who are a little more on the experiences side of things. Lidio is an impressive 13-3, with his lone bout in the LFA ending in a 2nd round win. Silva has been a little more up and down in his career, going 9-4-1 to this point, with this one being his first with the LFA. This should be a comfortable win for Lidio, who I believe will take it via KO.

Fernando Laurenco Vs Erick Viscondi

We have a Bantamweight bout up next, and it is one that promises to be a great battle. Laurenco brings a 16-3 record to the LFA and comes into this bout having won each of his last 10 fights, so he is a tough out. Viscondi is 12-2 overall and also making his first appearance with the LFA, coming into this bout on a 5-fight win streak. I think we see this fight go all the way, with Laurenco getting the decision.

Jose Delano Vs Fabricio Soares

That brings us to the co-main event of the night, which is a very solid Featherweight bout. Delano is looking to bounce back from a loss that dropped him to 12-3 overall. He is now 3-1 in his time with the LFA. Soares is 14-1 and on a run that has seen him win each of his last 12 fights, with 3 of his last 5 victories coming in the opening round. This, though, is a step up in class for Soares, which is why I have Delano taking it by decision.

Geraldo Neto Vs Magnus Conrado

We close the night out with a battle for the Welterweight Championship, which is currently sitting vacant. Neto is 17-6 overall and is on a solid run of form, with wins in each of his last 5 fights, although just 1 in the LFA. Conrado sits at 18-4 overall and is the winner of 9 of his last 10 fights, although this will be his first under the LFA banner. This should be a great battle, but I have Neto edging it.
