MMA Events to bet on before the end of January
UFC Fight Night 217 – January 14th
In the UFC’s first “Fight Night” event of the 2023 new year, the headliner of Nassourdine Imavov vs. Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night on Jan. 14, will no longer happen because Gastelum injured his mouth during training camp. Middleweights No. 7-ranked Sean Strickland (25-5) and No. 12-ranked Imavov (12-3) will be featured in the main event of UFC Fight Night on Saturday at the Apex Center.
Since the fight is taking place at light heavyweight, the result may not matter in terms of middleweight rankings, but Imavov is looking to leave a lasting impression on UFC officials and fans after a five-fight win streak with two knockouts.
Additionally, Dan Ige (15-6) will also try to rebound from a three-fight losing streak against Damon Jackson (22-4-1) at UFC Fight Night. Punahele Soriano (9-2) and Roman Kopylov (9-2) will square off at middleweight, and Ketlen Vieira (13-2) will face Raquel Pennington (14-9) to round out an exciting main card.
