NASCAR Truck Series Odds: Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200 Betting Analysis

We are now 4 races into the Truck Series season, and while there is a long way to go, there are some definite favorites emerging in the early going, including one driver who has already picked up a pair of wins. This weekend, NASCAR will be in Martinsville, with the Truck Series drivers preparing for the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200. The races at Martinsville have been much later in the season over the last couple of years, so it’s exciting to see this great track featured in the earlier stages of the 2022 season. This should be a fun one to watch on Thursday night, so let’s take a look at some of the drivers who have to be in among the NASCAR Truck Series Betting favorites to win.

NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for XPEL 225 Race

Chandler Smith

2021 was the first full season in the Truck Series for Smith, who ended up finishing a very respectable 8th in the driver standings. He seemed to really out it all together in the final few races of the year, winning 2 of the final 5. During that run, he also had a 4th place finish at Martinsville, so we might expect to see him do even better this time around. His early form certainly suggests that he could be in for another big run. After a poor showing at Daytona to start the year, Smith has been red-hot, finishing in the top 5 in the following 3 races, including a win in Las Vegas.

Ben Rhodes

It is never easy to win a championship in back-to-back seasons, but you do have to say that Rhodes has laid down an early marker that suggests he is ready to make a serious run at a 2ns straight title. While he has yet to pick up his first win of the season, Rhodes has been on the podium twice already, so he is certainly in very good form. A win at Martinsville has eluded him up until now, but he has a pair of 2nd place finishes at that track over the last 4 years. He ran 7th there last season, so you can definitely expect him to be up among the leaders.

Stewart Friesen

2019 proved to be a breakout season for Friesen in the Truck Series, as he finished 4th overall while picking up a couple of wins. He has failed to live up to that season since and has not won a race at this level since the 2019 season. It was an improved showing for him last year, finishing 6th overall, and he has made a very decent start to this season. Friesen had a podium finish in Las Vegas and has been top 10 in the last 2 races. A win here might be a bit of a surprise, but I would not count Friesen out.

Zane Smith

Smith has spent the last couple of seasons being the bridesmaid in the Truck Series, finishing 2nd in the driver standings in the last 2 years. It does seem like a matter of time before he wins his first title, and it looks as though he is up for it in 2022. Smith already has a pair of wins under his belt this season and is now heading to a track where he won last year. If I was forced to pick a winner, it would very likely be Zane Smith that I would choose.
