He is not guaranteed to make the playoffs this season, so running with the Xfinity Series this weekend is good preparation for the bigger challenges to come. Custer is sitting 3rd overall after 18 races this season, with a pair of wins already under his belt. He did not have a good run in New Hampshire in the previous race, so he will be looking for a bounce back performance this weekend. He raced a few times at this level last season, including a run at Pocono, where he finished 10th overall.
