Dallas vs Memphis NBA Opening Lines

Before the season began, the general consensus was that the San Antonio Spurs would be the team to beat in the Southwest Division. They do have the early lead, but are getting some stiff competition from a bit of a surprise package, the Dallas Mavericks. It has been a surprisingly good start to the season for Dallas, and they will hope to keep it going when they face a division foe in the form of the Memphis Grizzlies. Dallas Mavericks vs Memphis Grizzlies NBA Opening Lines

Date/Time: Tuesday, November 24, 2015 8:00 PM ET Venue: FedExForum Opening Lines:(Live Stream Option)   It’s fair to say that very few people believed that the Dallas Mavericks (9-5) would be this good, especially since they are relying heavily on the performance of an aging Dirk Nowitzki. The big man has been a revelation, though, and he has taken this team on his back through the early stages of the season. Whether his 37-year old legs will be able to carry him all the way this year remains to be seen, but this is a team that, as a whole, appears to be growing in confidence. The Mavericks saw a 6-game winning streak come to a halt against Oklahoma City on Sunday night, but it was another great performance that could very well have ended in another win were it not for a tough break here and there. Dallas are currently sitting in third place in the Western Conference, and have a very healthy 7-3 record versus the other teams in the west. I’m not entirely convinced that they can maintain this for the entire season, but I kinda hope they can prove me wrong. The Grizzlies (7-7) are a tough team to figure out this season, as they are having difficulty putting together any sort of consistent run. The key to their continued success would have to be the offense, as this is a team that is 6-0 this year when they score 100 points or more. It’s when the offense falls flat that the problems begin to show up. It did look for a moment as though Memphis were about to get rolling, as they came up with 4 straight wind, but that all came to an end when the San Antonio Spurs shut them down 92-82 on Sunday night. The problem with this team from a betting perspective is that we never know when the offense is going to show up, which makes it hard to consistently view them as a good bet.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet

It was Memphis who took 3 of 4 from the Mavericks last season, but this looks like a very different Dallas team this year. I like the Mavericks to get the win on the road, and I also like the OVER, which has gone 7-1-1 in the last 9 meetings between these 2 teams.
