Final NBA Betting Predictions for the 2018 Season

2018 NBA Season Betting Predictions for Warriors, Celtics, Rockets, Raptors, Thunder and Lakers

  • Golden State Warriors – Over 63, +125 vs Under 63, -155
The Warriors offer decent value to go over 63 wins this season. After suffering injuries last season, Golden State could only muster 58 wins. This season, 63 looks very possible because the Warriors might not lose until Nov. 15 when they travel to Houston. If it happens that way, GS will have built a 15-0 record.

NBA Betting Pick: Over 63

  • Boston Celtics – Over 59, -140 vs Under 59, +110
The odds are low on the Celtics to win at least 60 games this season. -140 means Boston dominates the Eastern Conference. It’s hard not to take a long look at Under. That’s especially true because even though on paper the Celtics look like the best team in the East, it could take at least a quarter of the season before the team gels.

NBA Betting Pick: Under 59

  • Houston Rockets – Over 56 ½, -120 vs Under 56 ½ -110
Houston went an unreal 65-17 last season. This time around, the Rockets could be tougher to keep from winning 65 games because they added unsung frontcourt player Marquese Chriss and instant offense Carmelo Anthony. One thing to worry about is top defender Trevor Ariza bounced to Phoenix. That’s enough of a concern to go under.

NBA Betting Pick: Under 56 ½

  • Toronto Raptors – Over 55, -140 vs Under 55, +110
The Raptors went 59-17 last season with DeMar DeRozan. This season, Kawhi Leonard plays for them. Kawhi’s one of the Top 3 players in the NBA. They should easily eclipse 55 wins, meaning going chalky makes the most sense.

NBA Betting Pick: Over 55

  • L.A. Lakers – Over 49 ½, -120 vs Under 49 ½, -110
Portland had 49 wins to finish third last season. The Lakers starting 5 looks strong. What’s stronger is how Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka put together a bench that includes veteran point-guard Rajon Rondo, small forward enforcer Lance Stephenson, and 13 points per game Michael Beasley. All 3 should excel off the bench. Lakers easily win more than 50 games.

NBA Betting Pick: Over 49 ½

  • Oklahoma City Thunder – Over 48 ½, -115 vs Under 48 ½, -115
Why did Paul George stay with the Thunder? Yes, he wanted to continue playing with Russell Westbrook, but he also saw how OKC shed itself of Carmelo Anthony while adding top point guard Dennis Shroder to backup Russell and underrated center Nerlens Noel to backup Steve Adams. PG-13 saw that OKC’s determined to build a winning bench. The hard work from the front office should lead to over 50 wins.

NBA Betting Pick: Over 48 ½
