Aaron Gordon and the Orlando Magic will be in all-out desperation mode when they hit the road to take on Jimmy Butler and a Miami Heat that is coming off of arguably their best performance of the regular season the last time out. With the Magic looking to snap a modest losing streak and Miami looking to extend their own winning ways in this mid-week matchup, let’s find out which team is offering the best value against their NBA Odds for the Magic vs Heat.

Magic vs Heat 2020 NBA Game Preview & Betting Odds

Why Bet On Orlando

The Magic have dropped two straight including a 130-107 blowout loss against Portland on Monday. Nikola Vucevic scored a team-high 30 points and added 11 rebounds while Terrence Ross added 23 points, but it wasn’t enough as Blazers star C.J. McCollum put up a game-high 41 points. The Magic allowed the Blazers to shoot a blistering 55.7 percent in the loss.

“That was incredibly disappointing,” Magic coach Steve Clifford said. “Tonight was again, lackluster defense. If we think we are gonna outscore people and make the playoffs or be a factor, we don’t understand who we are.”

Vucevic is averaging a team-high 19.3 points and 10.8 rebounds while Evan Fournier is averaging 18.9 points per contest. Orlando averages 105.3 points per game (29th) while allowing 106.9 points per game defensively (3rd). The  Magic have gone an uninspiring 11-19 on the road this season.

Why Bet On Miami

The Heat have won three straight including a stupendous 105-89 smackdown of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night that saw Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder score an identical 18 points while the blossoming Bam Adebayo added 14 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

“Collective effort,” Crowder said. “All hands on deck.”

The heat held the league’s reigning MVP to a season low 13 points and now they want to find some consistency as they head down the stretch run of the regular season.

“We take away from this that we can compete at the highest level,” Butler said. “But we know that we have to play this way every day from here on out.”

Butler is averaging a team-high 20.5 points and 6.7 rebounds while Goran Dragic is averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 assists. Miami averages 112.7 points per game (14th) while allowing 109.2 points per game defensively (11th). The Heat have gone 26-4 at home this season.

Magic vs Heat Expert Analysis and Prediction

While Miami is are riding a three-game winning streak into this contest and are playing at home, the Heat have had trouble putting away their in-state rivals as their 5-5 SU mark in their last 10 meetings suggests. While I’m certainly not prepared to pick Orlando for the outright road upset, I do believe Orlando can cover the chalk as a nearly double-digit road dog in this meeting. Orlando are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games and 5-2 ATS in the last 7 road dates against Miami. More importantly, the Magic’s talent level is similar to Miami’s and this one has the look of a fight to the finish before Orlando fades late. Give me the points and the Magic to cover!
