NBA Weekend Games

  • When: Friday, Nov. 12 – Sunday, Nov. 14

Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics

  • When: Friday, Nov. 12

Giannis and the Bucks are starting to make their presence felt. The Bucks will ride a 2-game winning streak when they take on the Celtics on Friday night.

On Nov. 9, Milwaukee beat the Philadelphia 76ers 118-109. Then on Nov. 10, the Bucks took down the New York Knicks 112-100. There’s a chance Milwaukee offers overlay odds because this happens at the TD Garden. The Bucks are a solid play to cover.

NBA Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

Chicago Bulls at Golden State Warriors

  • When: Friday, Nov. 12

It might be tempting to take the points on the Bulls. Chicago ranks first in free throw percentage, seventh in field goal percentage, and seventh in three-point percentage.

But the Golden State Warriors are killing it on the moneyline and against the spread. GS is 10-1 SU and 7-3-1 ATS. Still, as great as Golden State has played, they should eventually come back to earth.

Chicago will offer an overlay spread line in this. The Bulls are good enough defensively to keep Steph Curry from taking over while Draymond Green is likely to sit.

NBA Pick: Chicago Bulls

Miami Heat at Utah Jazz

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 13

Saturday’s top NBA game pits the Miami Heat against the Utah Jazz. So far on their western road trip, the Heat have failed.

Tyler Herro missed a couple of free throws in overtime in the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. The Heat battle the L.A. Clippers on Thursday before taking Friday off.

On Nov. 8, Denver beat the Heat. Miami is too good of a team to lose four straight. So if the Clippers add a third straight loss, consider backing the Heat to upset Utah on Saturday.

If Miami beats LAC, the Heat remain a good play against the spread. Either way, Miami is the play.

NBA Pick: Miami Heat

San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Lakers

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 14

Los Angeles worked hard to beat Miami on Wednesday night. The Lakers get somewhat of a reprieve on Friday when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves

San Antonio is just 4-7 straight up. But the Spurs are 7-4 ATS, which means oddsmakers and NBA handicappers are undervaluing their ability to keep games closer than the spread.

Gregg Popovich’s squad must play Dallas on Friday. If the Spurs exit that game without any significant injuries, they should be ready to win this against the spread. The Lakers, like in most seasons, have been failures against the spread, going 4-8 ATS in their first 12 games.

NBA Pick: San Antonio Spurs

Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 14

Bucks versus Hawks is shaping up as a terrific ball game. Heading into the weekend, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday are healthy. The Hawks’ Trae Young and Clint Capela should also play in this.

Atlanta must tackle Denver on Friday. On Nov. 9, the Hawks fell to the Utah Jazz 98-110. This is a game that could go either way.

Milwaukee should win and cover, but the Friday matchup against Boston could be a tough. The ATL will be happy to get home. Going with the Hawks to cover makes the most sense.

NBA Pick: Atlanta Hawks

Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Clippers

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 14

The Bulls have a tough weekend. Golden State on Friday and then the Clippers on Sunday. What are the chances Chicago wins both games?

Probably not great. But the Bulls, though, might just be better than the Clippers. Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic have dominated this season.

Heading into the weekend, Chicago is 8-3 straight up. The Clippers are decent at 6-4. But LAC allows 34.6% from three and Chicago is one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NBA.

If they’re the dogs, go with Chicago straight up. If the Bulls offer the Clippers points, consider backing Chicago to cover.

NBA Pick: Chicago Bulls
