Top NBA Week 12 Matches to Wager On Monday

It’s an interesting time in the NBA right now. With the league getting hit hard by COVID, you never know who will be available to play.

We’ve seen a slew of veterans who have been out of the league for a year or two signed to 10-day deals to help fill out depleted rosters. When looking at a slate of games to bet on, be sure to look at who is active for that particular game.

Let’s take a look at a couple of games that we think you can place a wager against the NBA odds and take home a few extra bucks.

Top Must Bet NBA Games On Jan. 3rd

Houston Rockets @ Philadelphia 76ers – Monday, January 3rd

If things weren’t already going bad enough for the Houston Rockets, they got worse on Saturday night. The Rockets are the worst team in the Western Conference with just ten wins.

On Saturday night, after halftime, where the Rockets were criticized by assistant coach John Lucas, Kevin Porter Jr. left the building, and Christian Wood refused to enter the game. We’re not sure what kind of shape Houston will be in when they head to Philly on Monday night.

After winning their last three, the Philadelphia 76ers are starting to put things together. With a healthy Joel Embiid, they’re starting to play some pretty good basketball. They beat the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night, so they have a good recent win to their credit.

While the Sixers haven’t been the best at home with a 6-8 record on their home court, they still should have a huge advantage over the Rockets. Houston has gone 3-17 on the road. Things just aren’t good for the Rockets, so they’re looking for any good news.

Losers of their last seven, and 1-9 in their last 10, the Rockets need something good to happen. We don’t think that it will happen in Philadelphia on Monday night. If the spread isn’t too outrageous, taking the Sixers is the way to go.

Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls – Monday, January 3rd

Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bulls are sitting atop the Eastern Conference with a 24-10 record. Winners of seven straight, the Bulls are playing some of the best basketball in the league.

DeMar DeRozan has hit two buzzer-beating game-winning shots in the Bulls’ last two games, so they’re riding high. Other than Alex Caruso, who has been out the last couple of weeks with an injured foot, the Bulls should be at full strength when the Orlando Magic come to town.

As for the Orlando Magic, they’re heading in the opposite direction of the Chicago Bulls. Losers of five straight, and 2-8 in their last ten games, the Magic just can’t seem to get anything going. They’re a very young team, so they’re hoping that they can build this into a successful group in the upcoming years, but right now, things aren’t going well.

The Bulls have things going, and we just can’t see the Magic being able to slow them down. As long as the spread isn’t something ridiculous, we see the Bulls winning an easy one against the lowly Magic.
