There are just a couple of weeks remaining in the NBA regular season and the potential playoff matchups are beginning to take shape. With each passing day, more teams either clinch a spot or become officially eliminated from playoff contention, so it really is only a matter of time before we get to see which 20 teams will be playoff bound, keeping in mind that some of those teams are going to be ousted quickly during the play-in games.

As it stands at the moment, the Cavaliers are stuck in with the play-in group, but they are also just 1 game out of the top 6. They are on the slide right now, though, losing 3 in a row heading into this new week. They need to snap out of that sooner rather than later and a home game against the Orlando Magic might be just what the doctor ordered. These two have already met this season, with Cleveland winning that one going away. They should be able to break out and get back to winning ways on Monday night.

Dallas Mavericks over LA Lakers

This will be the 3rd meeting between these two teams this season, with the previous games split down the middle. The difference now, though, is that Dallas is moving up the standings in the Western Conference, while the LA Lakers are slipping and are in danger of dropping below the play-in line. The Lakers have lost 2 in a row and have just 3 wins in their last 10 games. They have really struggled away from home, too, all of which would seem to point to the Mavericks picking up another win on Tuesday night.

Atlanta Hawks over Oklahoma City Thunder

The goal of every team is to make the playoffs and hopefully get on a deep run. Right now, the Atlanta Hawks are clinging to the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference, and with a 6-4 record in their last 10, they are on a decent run of form. They will be on the road on Wednesday night to face an OKC team that has managed just 1 win in their last 10 games. In the earlier meeting between these two this season, it was Atlanta who came away with the comfortable win at home. I like the Hawks to repeat that win here.

Chicago Bulls over LA Clippers

The Eastern Conference has been crazy this year, with several teams having spent some time at the top. The Chicago Bulls were there for a minute, but they have slipped down to 5th now, albeit just 3 ½ games out of the top spot. They are just 4-6 in their last 10 games, but they did close out last week with a win. They have already beaten the Clippers this season and look like a good bet to sweep the season series given that LA is currently on a run that has seen them lose each of their last 5 games.
