2019 College Football Week 13 ATS Betting Picks

Written by on November 19, 2019

With each passing week in the college football season, we see the teams with a shot at making the playoffs get reduced. In Week 12, it was Baylor and Minnesota, both of whom had been previously unbeaten, see their chances go up in smoke with a loss. The Baylor Bears must still be kicking themselves after blowing a massive lead to the Oklahoma Sooners, but such are the fine lines between winning and losing in college football.

The Top 4 is probably going to remain the same after the events of last weekend, so it’s now time to look ahead to Week 13. We are going to get the ball rolling by making some ATS NCAAF Betting picks that we hope you like, so let’s get right to it.

2019 College Football Week 13 ATS Betting Picks

Minnesota Golden Bears (-13 ½) at Northwestern Wildcats

The Minnesota Golden Bears saw their playoff dream die last week with a loss to Iowa, but they cannot sit around and wallow in self-pity, as they still have something big to play for. The Golden bears are atop the West Division in the Big Ten and have a shot at the Championship Game, so they need to stay focused and get the win against Northwestern, the winners of the division last season.

This is a game that you would certainly like Minnesota to win, and when you consider that they have covered in 8 of their last 10 trips to Northwestern, the ATS bet looks very good.

College Football Week 13 Betting Trends

  • Golden Bears are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Golden Bears are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against an opponent in the Big 10 conference
  • Wildcats are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Wildcats are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games at home

Nebraska Cornhuskers (-5) over Maryland Terrapins in College Football Week 13

What we have here are a pair of teams that have been brutal against the spread of late, which might be enough to make you pass this one bye. I think we have a chance to cash a winning ticket here, though, as I think Nebraska can put up some points against a very poor Maryland defense.

These two have only met once before and it was the Cornhuskers winning and covering the spread in that one. I think we are potentially looking at more of the same here, which is why I am on Nebraska ATS.

College Football Week 13 Betting Trends

  • Cornhuskers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games
  • Cornhuskers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games against an opponent in the Big 10 conference
  • Terrapins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Terrapins are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games played in November

UTEP Miners (+7 ½) at New Mexico State Aggies

This is one of those games that you would ordinarily gloss over when looking for games to wager on this coming Saturday. After all, there is not a lot of glamor to be found in a game feature a pair of teams sitting at 1-9 on the season, but there is an opportunity to potentially pocket some money.

New Mexico State is one of the favorites for College Football Week 13.

The first thing you see when you look at the matchup between these two is that UTEP has covered the spread in 7 of the last 10 meetings. It get’s better, though, as they have also covered in 4 of their last 5 visits to New Mexico State. This looks like a pretty straightforward bet.

College Football Week 13 Betting Trends

  • Miners are 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games
  • Miners are 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 games played on a Saturday
  • Aggies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games
  • Aggies are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games at home

Duke Blue Devils at Wake Forest Demon Deacons (-7) in College Football Week 13

While I often look at trends in a matchup between two teams, I also look at what has been happening this season, as that tends to be a stronger indicator of outcome than historical data.

For example, Wake Forest has only covered once in the last 8 visits by Duke, but this is also a Blue Devils team that has now failed to cover the spread in each of their last 6 games. At home this season, Wake are 3-2 ATS. This is not one that I am fully sold on, but I also think it’s worth the risk to take a shot with the Demon Deacons.

College Football Week 13 Betting Trends

  • Blue Devils are 0-4-2 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Blue Devils are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games on the road
  • Demon Deacons are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games
  • Demon Deacons are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games played in week 13
