2019 College Football Week 14 SU Betting Picks

Written by on November 26, 2019

With the release of the AP Poll after Week 13, we saw the Alabama Crimson Tide move ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs into the #4 spot in the national rankings. None of that really matters, though, as it’s the rankings of the playoff committee that count this time of year. Even if they do follow the same path as the AP, nothing changes for the Georgia Bulldogs, as they will be in if they win out.

They will be up against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the final week of the regular season, which has become known as rivalry week. There are some great rivalry games on tap this coming weekend, so let’s take a closer look at the schedule to see if we can pick out some SU college football betting winners.

2019 College Football Week 14 SU Betting Picks

Virginia Tech Hokies over Virginia Cavaliers

The Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday means that a lot of people also get Friday off work this week. It also means that we get a ton of afternoon games in college football on Friday afternoon, including a really good rivalry game between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Virginia Cavaliers.

Both of these teams are having good seasons and are sitting at 8-3 on the year, but it is the winner of this one who will go on to face the Clemson Tigers in the ACC Championship Game. It’s the biggest game of the season for both of these teams, but I am on the Hokies to steal the win on the road.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Yellow Jackets are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games
  • Yellow Jackets are 14-6 SU in their last 20 games on the road
  • Cavaliers are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games
  • Cavaliers are 6-0 SU in their last 6 games at home

Kentucky Wildcats over Louisville Cardinals in College Football Week 14

This is a game that really looks as though it could be a coin flip call when it comes time to make a wager. The Cardinals have the better record on the season, and while both are coming into this on modest 2-game winning streaks, I still get the feeling that the Wildcats have the slight edge here based on the fact that they have home field advantage.

I’m not going to lie here, as this is more of a hunch play than anything, especially when you consider that Kentucky is 2-6 SU in their last 8 against the Cardinals. I am taking a shot, though, and rolling the dice on Kentucky in a close one.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Cardinals are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games
  • Cardinals are 8-0 SU in their last 8 games played in week 14
  • Wildcats are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games
  • Wildcats are 2-5 SU in their last 7 games against an opponent in the Atlantic Coast conference

Alabama Crimson Tide over Auburn Tigers

Of all the rivalry games across college football, it may well be the Iron Bowl that is the most eagerly anticipated. The Alabama Crimson Tide come into this one without their starting QB, which has the bookies seeing this meeting as being a close one, with these two essentially being separated by a field goal on the big betting board.

Auburn is not the favorite against Alabama in College Football Week 14.

Yes, Alabama are limping into this one, but they have beaten Auburn 7 times in their last 10 meetings and have won each of their last 7 games on the road. I think the Crimson Tide win this one quite comfortably.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Crimson Tide are 10-1 SU in their last 11 games
  • Crimson Tide are 7-0 SU in their last 7 games on the road
  • Tigers are 9-3 SU in their last 12 games
  • Tigers are 8-3 SU in their last 11 games played on a Saturday

California Golden Bears over UCLA Bruins in College Football Week 14

When making our SU picks for the week, we always try to focus on games that the bookies see as being close, as that means getting better odds and potentially better payouts. We have another close on here, with the Bruins favored by 2 ½ at home.

Cal have not had themselves a great season, but they have won 2 of their last 3 to secure themselves a bowl game, while the UCLA Bruins come into this one on the heels of back to back losses. Cal has lost in 8 of their last 9 visits to the Bruins, but let’s take a chance on the underdog in this game.

College Football Week 14 Betting Trends

  • Golden Bears are 2-5 SU in their last 7 games
  • Golden Bears are 1-5 SU in their last 6 games against UCLA
  • Bruins are 5-11 SU in their last 16 games
  • Bruins are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games at home
