Top College Football SU Picks Of The Week (Nov. 5th)

Written by on November 2, 2016

It’s hard to believe that we are already into Week 10 of the college football season, but here we are. There are a few games taking place on Thursday and Friday, but there is nothing in there that jumps off the page as far as potentially profitable SU picks goes, so I will be instead looking at all the games being played on Saturday. I am also going to try and pick games that should be easy to fond televised somewhere, as it’s always fun to watch while you win. With all of that said, let’s look at my straight up winning picks for the upcoming weekend.

Here’s A Closer Look At The Top College Football SU Picks Of The Week (Nov. 5th)

Miami Hurricanes over Pittsburgh Panthers

There was a lot of excitement in Miami in the early part of the season, with the Mark Richt era getting off to a winning start. The Miami Hurricanes started 3-0, and looked as though they were going to make it 4 before gassing a lead late against Florida State. It has been all downhill from there, as the Hurricanes are coming into this one having lost 4 in a row. They have been in all but one of those losses, and could just as easily be sitting 6-1 with a few breaks. Miami has gone 5-1 at home to Pittsburgh in their last 6 meetings, and they took them out in this match-up last year. I have to go with Miami here.

Florida Gators over Arkansas Razorbacks

The Gators have the SEC East Division in their control, and can take another big step toward clinching it with a win over the Razorbacks this weekend. The Florida defense, particularly the secondary, is about as good as it gets, and moving the ball on them on a regular basis is tough to do. In the past 25 years, these teams have met 9 times, and it has been Florida that has won all 9 of those meetings. Defense wins the day here, which means a win for the Gators.

Penn State Nittany Lions over Iowa Hawkeyes

There are few teams on a roll as hot as the one that Penn State are on right now. They have won 4 in a row in a stretch that included a stunning win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Penn State Nittany Lions are pounding the ball on the ground, and even though the opposition knows that it’s coming, they are powerless to stop them. This looks as though it will be a ground and pound style game for both teams, so I am taking Penn State to win this one in a low scoring affair.

Georgia Bulldogs over Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky have been one of the surprise teams of the season, as no-one expected them to be sitting second in the SEC East at this stage of the season. It has been a down year for that division, and you have to say that Kentucky have taken advantage of that in a big way. The Wildcats have ridden their luck a little, though, as they have turned the ball over a lot, and have given up a ton of yards on the ground. That might just catch up with them this weekend against a Georgia team that is talented in the game, and which has forced a lot of turnovers this season.
