Washington State vs. UCLA Week 7 Lines & Picks

Written by on July 18, 2016

With a dozen returning starters and a rising star in sophomore quarterback Josh Rosen, the UCLA Bruins are hoping for big things n 2016. After winning nine games in 2015 under head coach Mike Leach and having their own gifted signal-caller in Luke Falk, the Washington State Cougars are also hoping or bigger and better things once the 2016 regular season gets underway. Now, let’s find out which one of these teams will bring home the bacon when they meet in their Week 7 Pac-12 college football lines pairing!

How To Bet the Bruins @ Cougars NCAA Football Odds, TV & Game Info

When: Saturday, October 15 (Time TBA) Where: Martin Stadium, Pullman, WA TV: TBA TV Stream: TBA NCAA Football Odds: Washington State -1

Bet The UCLA Bruins at +1 Because…

The Bruins are looking for revenge and the have a whopping 10 returning starters on defense. UCLA may be looking for some payback, but they may not get it after falling to Washington State 31 27 as an 11-point home favorite last season. While the Bruins have 10 returning starters on defense and a gifted young quarterback that proved himself last season, Jim Mora’s team does need to find replacements for gifted running back Paul Perkins and both starting wide receivers. The good news is that Rosen earned Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year honors last season after throwing for 3,669 yards and 23 touchdowns, although he did toss a costly 11 interceptions. The defense struggled to stop the run last year and will need to find a replacement for gifted hybrid linebacker/safety Myles Jack.

Bet The Washington State Cougars at -1 Because…

Cougars finished with nine wins last season for the first time since 2003 and will look to build on that impressive mark behind gifted quarterback Luke Falk in 216. Incredibly, Falk joined Washington State program as a walk-on after receiving virtually no recruiting attention coming out of high school. Now, he is one the best quarterbacks in the Pac-12 after throwing for 4,566 yards and 38 touchdowns while completing 69.4 percent of his passes. Falk ranked fifth nationally in total passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns. The Cougars also return their top three running backs from a year ago (Gerard Wicks, Jamal Morrow and Keith Harrington) giving them a balance that isn’t usually seen in a Mike Leach coached squad. Washington State needs to find replacements along the defensive line ad a linebacker, but this team will likely light up the scoreboard in a big way in coming season

My Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction

UCLA had win five straight before falling to Washington State a year ago and now, I like the Cougars to make it two in a row by taking out the Bruins in another high-scoring affair. Washington State is 4-1 SU in their last five games and an insane 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. I say keep it simple and back the Cougars to win and cover the college football betting line in a high-scoring affair at home! My Pick: Washington State 35 UCLA 31
