In Depth Analysis On The Highlight Quartet Of NFL Week 7 Expert Picks

San Diego at Atlanta

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 4:05 PM ET NFL Odds: Atlanta -6.5 Analysis: Sure, the Atlanta Falcons are the better team in this Week 7 matchup against San Diego, but Philip Rivers and the Chargers can score the ball with any team in the league as they rank third in scoring (28.8 ppg) just two spots behind the league-leading Falcons (33.1 ppg). I know Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are almost impossible to stop, but Atlanta is just 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games while Rivers and the Chargers are 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games Maybe it’s me but, I swear I smell an upset brewing. Pick: San Diego +6.5 Points

Washington at Detroit

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Ford Field NFL Odds: Detroit -1 Analysis: Washington has won four straight games, but I’m still not impressed as half of those wins against mediocre teams. Detroit has won two tough games in a row and are my pick to win and cash in, seeing as how Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is displaying a newfound leadership skill-set this season. Detroit is 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six home dates against Washington and I believe they’re going to improve on that mark by simply outscoring the Skins. My Pick: Detroit -1 Point

New Orleans at Kansas City

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Arrowhead Stadium NFL Odds: New Orleans +6.5 Analysis: I know the New Orleans Saints have a mediocre defense at best, but Drew Brees and company can put points on the board with any team in the league and I like them to cover the NFL betting line as a nearly touchdown underdogs against Kansas City in this Week 7 matchup. New Orleans has scored 32 points or more in every game except one and averages just over 10 points per game more than the Chiefs, despite allowing 13.2 points per game more than Kansas City defensively. The Chiefs have been limited to 14 points or less in two of their last four games, leading me to believe the Saints are the pick to cover! Pick: New Orleans +6.5 Points

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 8:30 PM ET Where: University of Phoenix Stadium TV: NBC NFL Odds: Arizona Cardinals -1 / Over/Under: 43.5 Analysis: I know Seattle got way with a bit of a ‘robbery’ in their narrow 26-24 win over Atlanta in Week 7, but the Seahawks are clearly playing better football than their NFC West division rivals right now. While the Cardinals have won two straight games, those wins came mostly because the Cards played pitiful teams in the Niners and Jets the last two weeks. Seattle has pretty much owned the Cardinals since Russell Wilson took over as the team’s starting quarterback in 2012 and spanked Arizona 36-6 in last season’s playoffs to dispatch the then, 13-win Cards. Seattle is playing its normal brand of stingy defense in limiting their opponents to just 15.6 points per game this season while Arizona has looked like classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde kind of team this season in splitting their last four games. Seattle has gone 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games against Arizona while the Cardinals have gone 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games. Seattle wins outright to cover the NFL betting line. My Pick: Seattle 24 Arizona 21
