Week 14 is the last this season in the NFL with bye weeks. Off are the Colts, Dolphins, Patriots and Eagles. Here’s a look at the two surefire NFL underdogs in Week 14 for you to place your bets on, – fading the underdogs.

Who will be the losers of week 14 NFL?

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-10.5)

These teams played Week 5 and the Titans rolled to a 37-19 victory. Titans star RB Derrick Henry, who grew up in the Jacksonville area, rushed for 130 yards and three scores but he has since been lost for the season. Henry and the Titans have won four straight and eight of nine in the series. Kevin Byard returned a fumble for a score for Tennessee.

The Jaguars fumbled on the third play of the game. Byard scooped it up and ran 30 yards for a score. Jacksonville also missed an extra point; dropped what should have been an interception and maybe a pick-six; missed a 53-yard field goal; and was flagged for a phantom pass interference penalty on a third-down play. Jacksonville’s James Robinson ran 18 times for a career-high 149 yards and a touchdown.

The Jags were blasted 37-7 at the Rams on Sunday. With rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence struggling statistically, and with the offense fumbling early and stumbling throughout, the Jaguars trailed quickly and never recovered.

Lawrence, the No. 1 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, completed 15 of 27 passes for 136 yards and no touchdowns with no interceptions. He completed six of 12 passes for 53 yards with three dropped passes in the first half. The Jaguars had 197 total yards, 85 in the first half. It was their third game under 300 total yards in the last six games and they have had 218 or fewer in three of the last five games. Lawrence has been under 240 yards passing in six consecutive games.

The Titans come off their bye week on at two-game skid. In those games, the Titans committed nine turnovers without forcing one.

“We have five games left,” Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan. “We have to come back, gather ourselves mentally and physically, and take a step forward, and not a step back.”

The Titans currently have 18 players on Injured Reserve, and all of the team’s inactive players in their last game were unavailable because of injuries. Through 12 games, the Titans have now used 86 total players this season, the most of any team in the NFL in any season since at least 1993. Since 1993, the previous record number of participants in a season was 84 by the 2019 Dolphins and the 2020 49ers. Some injured players will return for this game.

New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers (-11)

The Giants played without starting QB Daniel Jones and two starting receivers on Sunday and lost 20-9 in Miami. Mike Glennon completed 23-of-44 passes for 187 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Glennon was diagnosed with a concussion after the game. He was not removed from the game at any point, so it’s unclear when the injury occurred. Glennon threw a bad interception to Darius Slayton who was blanketed in double coverage and followed that up with a hospital ball to Slayton over the middle.

It’s unclear if Glennon, Daniel Jones or Jake Fromm will start against the Chargers in Week 14. The Giants also have former Michigan State quarterback Brian Lewerke on their practice squad. Jones suffered a neck injury in the Week 12 win over Philadelphia.

Glennon remained winless as a starter since 2017 when he was with the Chicago Bears. He would remain the starter if he’s able to play and Jones didn’t return.

“Yes,” coach Joe Judge said when asked about sticking with Glennon after Sunday’s loss. “I would say at this point, yes.”

Running back Saquon Barkley became the fastest player who started his career with the Giants to reach 4,000 yards from scrimmage (39 games). On Sunday, he ran for 55 yards on 11 carries and caught six passes for 19 yards. Kenny Golladay had three catches for 37 yards, including a long of 20 yards, before exiting early with an injury to his ribs. He was able to return to the field to start the second half but did not record a catch after that. The Giants were already playing without fellow receivers Kadarius Toney (oblique/quad) and Sterling Shepard (quad).

The Chargers won 41-22 in Cincinnati on Sunday. Justin Herbert completed 26-of-35 passes for 317 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Herbert posted one of his best games of the year. He was particularly deadly when looking deep. Herbert notched four completions of over 30 yards, two of which went to Mike Williams in the first quarter. The other two landed in the hands of Jalen Guyton for a touchdown. Herbert has topped 300 yards in four of his last five outings. Williams had five receptions for 110 yards, and Keenan Allen caught two of Herbert’s TD passes.

Up 24-6, the Chargers turned it over on three straight drives for the first time since 2019. Running back Austin Ekeler had his first career game with multiple fumbles. Herbert was sacked four times and threw a pick. Linebacker Joey Bosa went out with a head injury. Yet they still one. Cornerback Tevaughn Campbell played a big role, recovering a rare Joe Mixon fumble and returning it 61 yards for a touchdown to turn a 2-point game into a two-possession game.
