Top NFL Houston Texans Games to Bet On the Upcoming 2022-23 Season

Top NFL Houston Texans Games to Bet On the Upcoming 2022-23 Season

The Texans improved their roster big time. Houston is set on building around last year’s rookie starter at quarterback, Davis Mills. In that sense, Houston did what they wanted by adding talented guard Kenyon Green. The Texans also drafted a shutdown corner in Derek Stingley Jr. But even though the Texans have an improved roster, it’s still one of the worst in the NFL. Oddsmakers and NFL handicappers know this, which is why we may see more than a few overlay spreads on the Texans. See below for eight must bet Houston Texans’ games so you can place your bets against the NFL Lines

Houston Texans Must Bet Games During the Regular Season | NFL Betting Picks

2022-23 NFL Regular Season
  • When: Sep. 8, 2022 – Jan. 8, 2023

Houston at Denver | Week 2 – Sunday, Sep. 18

If Russell Wilson leads the Broncos into Seattle in NFL Week 1 and Denver blows out Russell’s former team, a let down in week 2 is almost assured. Houston should face an overlay spread, which they will cover.

Houston at Chicago | Week 3 – Sunday, Sep. 25

Chicago doesn’t seem to have a much better roster than Houston’s. Not only that, but the jury is out on if Justin Fields is an NFL starting quarterback. Fields could improve and Davis Mills might still out play him. Houston has a shot at a straight up victory.

Houston at Las Vegas | Week 7 – Sunday, Oct. 23

The Las Vegas Raiders project as one of the AFC’s better teams. At home, Vegas should be very difficult to beat. The Texans won’t have the firepower to keep up with Derek Carr, Davante Adams, and Josh Jacobs. The Raiders roll to a win and cover.

Houston at New York Giants | Week 10 – Sunday, Nov. 13

The Texans’ improved roster doesn’t match the Giants’ improved roster. Mills will have to get the ball out quickly to counter what should be an excellent NYG pass rush. The Giants project as a good football team. NYG will relish the opportunity to spank a squad like the Texans. A New York Giants win and cover is more than possible.

Houston vs Cleveland | Week 13 – Sunday, Dec. 4

The talk around NFL betting circles is that the Cleveland Browns are this season’s most overplayed and disappointing squads. There’s a chance the Browns head to Houston an underlay both SU and ATS. The Texans can pull off the moneyline victory. A Houston win against the spread could be a slam dunk.

Houston vs Kansas City | Week 15 – Sunday, Dec. 18

Andy Reid doesn’t care about spreads. Reid prefers a controlled victory, one around 7 points or less. If the Texans have 1 to 3 wins by the time the Chiefs come into town, sports bettors will pound KC. There’s a good chance KC backers lose their money because Houston will have a great shot at covering the spread.

Houston at Tennessee | Week 16 – Saturday, Dec. 24

Tennessee shouldn’t have a playoff spot locked down by NFL Week 16. So Houston can play spoiler. But beating the Titans in Nashville isn’t easy. So grabbing the points on the Texans will be the way to go.

Houston vs Jacksonville | Week 17 – Sunday, Jan. 1

The Jags could be on the verge of locking down a playoff spot. Jacksonville head coach Doug Pederson has won a Super Bowl. If the Jags have any playoff hopes by NFL Week 17, Pederson will ensure his team plays as well as possible. Jacksonville wins and covers.
