NFL 2021 Preseason: Chicago at Tennessee Betting Analysis

Music City, USA will be rockin’ on Saturday night, as the Chicago Bears will head to Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee to take on the Tennessee Titans in the preseason finale for both squads. Players will be fighting for the few remaining spots on each roster, as the final cuts will be made shortly after this one is played. With that in mind, it’s time we take a closer look at both teams and how they arrive to this match so you can bet against their NFL Preseason odds.

NFL Betting Preview for Jets vs Packers On Aug. 28th

Chicago Bears Preview

The Bears have made a lot of news this preseason as the quarterbacks have taken center stage. Even though Chicago head coach Matt Nagy has reiterated that Andy Dalton is their starting quarterback, many have called for rookie first-rounder Justin Fields to be under center for the Bears when they play the Los Angeles Rams in the regular-season opener.

The fans will get their wish in this one, as Dalton will not play on Saturday night. Fields will be the starter and is planning on playing most of the first half. Even though the Bears will not be playing most of their starting skill position players, they will have their starting offensive line on the field to protect Fields.

The Bears were abysmal in last weekend’s 41-15 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Soldier Field. The Bears defense was abused by former Bears starter Mitchell Trubisky. Even though the Bears defense was basically made up of backups, Trubisky led the Bills to four touchdowns in the first half.

We should see the Bears starting defense in action for a few series on Saturday night. The Bears secondary could be a weakness for them this season, so everyone will be watching to see how they look on Saturday night.

Tennessee Titans Preview

Tennessee has had a nice preseason run thus far, coming into this one 2-0 on the exhibition season. The Titans destroyed the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-3 last weekend. Even though the Tennessee defense played well, it was against a Tampa offense that didn’t have Tom Brady.

We’ll be interested to see how Tennessee’s offense looks on Saturday. Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill has yet to play in the preseason. Tannehill will see a lot of action on Saturday, as he and the starting offense will get significant playing time. We’ll see how Tannehill and huge offseason acquisition Julio Jones play together.

Tennessee’s defense has been their major weakness the last couple of seasons. Tennessee tried to upgrade their defense through the draft and will have a strong rookie presence in the secondary. Everyone will be watching to see how the young secondary stacks up against the rookie quarterback and his second-string receivers.

Prediction

The Titans are a 1-point favorite heading into this one. Both teams have defenses that have some holes, so we could see a lot of points in this one. With the over/under being set at 36, we’re looking for more points than that.

We see Tannehill and the offensive starters being able to move the ball well against the Bears. We’re going to go with Tennessee to win this one 24-17
