Top 2022 Rugby Matches to Bet On: NRL Round 18, and Super League On the Weekend

St. Helen’s had a two point win over the Wigan Warriors last week in a battle of the top two teams in the Super League. That has given the Saints a comfortable lead in first place in the Super League ladder heading into round 19.

There were only four games in the NRL last weekend but it was still explosive headlined by Cronulla topping Melbourne 28-6. That loss dropped the Storm out of second place on the ladder and into a tie with the Sharks.

Let’s take a look at some of the best Online Betting games on this weekend’s rugby slate so you can bet against the Rugby Odds.

Weekly Rundown of the Top Rugby Games to Must Bet On | July 12th Edition

Cronulla Sharks vs North Queensland Cowboys (-1.5), NRL Friday 4:00 AM ET

The Cowboys have climbed into second place in the NRL ladder thanks to Melbourne’s loss last week, but they haven’t matchup up well with the Sharks in recent years. In fact, North Queensland has lost seven straight against Cronulla and 11 of the last 13.

Newcastle Knights vs Manly Sea Eagles (-8.5), NRL Saturday 2:30 AM ET

This weekend’s game is a must-win for Manly, who currently holds the eight spot in the ladder but with three other teams within a game. The Sea Eagles did pick up a 30-6 win in Newcastle in round five, so this line does hold some value.

Canberra Raiders vs Melbourne Storm (-11.5), NRL Sunday 2:05 AM ET

The Storm have dropped two in a row, falling to Manly 36-30 and Cronulla 28-6. Melbourne has one of the best scoring offenses in the NRL, but that’s a couple poor defensive showings in a row. The Raiders have a chance to hand Melbourne a third straight defeat as they are coming off a bye and within a game of the eight spot in the ladder.

St. Helens (-8.5) vs Huddersfield Giants, Super League Friday 3:00 PM ET

St. Helens looks to go two-for-two against the Giants this season after a 24-12 win back in April. St. Helens is in a letdown spot after the tough 20-18 win over Wigan last week, and Huddersfield is third in the ladder at 12-5-1.

Wigan Warriors (-14.5) vs Hull FC, Super League Friday 3:00 PM ET

The Warriors put up a valiant effort last week but ultimately fell by two points to St. Helens, dropping them to two games back in the Super League ladder. Wigan is a big favorite despite Hull being in fifth place, mostly because Hull has lost four of their last five.

Salford Red Devils vs Catalans Dragons (-8.5), Super League Sunday 10:00 AM ET

The Dragons are fourth in the Super League, just six points off the pace of first place St. Helen’s. Catalans should be able to stay in the hunt against 7-11 Salford, who they beat 36-10 back in April.

It’s going to be another big weekend of rugby as the Super League and NRL head into the meat of their respective seasons.
