The Roosters had a rough first week. Not on the field, where Sydney came away with a 20-10 win. Spencer Leniu ended up being embroiled in a racism scandal following a controversy that started during the season opener in Las Vegas. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is returning from a suspension and will start in Leniu’s place.

The Sea Eagles looked like the more fluid team in Round 1. Manly isn’t a bad option at plus money while Sydney deals with stuff off the field.

The Dolphins vs St. George Illawarra Dragons

Melbourne Storm vs New Zealand Warriors

Nelson Asofa-Solomna and Jonah Pezet will come back for the Storm. The Warriors took a difficult loss during Round 1. New Zealand fell four points short of the Sharks. A tough loss for Warriors came in the form of an elbow injury to Wayde Egan.

Egan is questionable for this weekend’s match. If Egan can’t go, Ferry Lussick may end up starting in his place. Melbourne is in a better position right now and should smother the Warriors from moving forward with any confidence.
