Especially since FC Cincinnati has gone through a tough stretch of games with players out for international duty. FC Cincinnati is 1-1-3 (W-L-D) over its past five games.

FC Cincinnati, which will host Nashville SC Saturday, has only had an xG of more than 2 in one of those games, the team’s 3-0 victory over Toronto FC. Nashville SC has been led by German forward Hany Mukhtar. Mukhtar has 13 goals and seven assists this season.

The Boys in Gold have lost three of their past four games but hope a win over first-place FC Cincinnati should allow them to pull closer.

NYCFC has had a brutal start to the season. With a -4 goal differential, the Cityzens hardly look like the team that has been part of the MLS championship picture for the past few seasons. New York FC does have plenty of attacking talent.

Brazilian Gabriel Pereira leads the team with six goals and three assists. Pereira is supported by Uruguay national Santiago Rodriguez, who has four goals and two assists. That has helped New York City FC from falling out to 13th in the standings.

Philadelphia is sitting in sixth place in the standings. While the Union aren’t quite as stingy defensively as they were last season, they are still an effective defensive side. Argentine Julian Carranza leads Philadelphia with ten goals, while Daniel Gazdag and Mikael Uhre also have scored seven goals apiece.

The Union could use a spark, as Philadelphia has lost two straight games and three of its last five contests.

Seattle has now won two straight matches and is ready to make a run at first-place St. Louis. FC Dallas sits in sixth place in the Western Conference but has lost six of its last eight matches.

Jesus Ferreira, who is currently in the middle of international duty with Team USA, has a team-high ten goals.
