2019 Roland-Garros Round 3 Betting Preview – June 1st

Saturday, June 1

Zverev is a major favorite over Dusan Lajovic. The 22-year-old German needed 5 sets, and two tiebreaker sets, to beat John Millman in Round 1. In the second round, Zverev needed a tiebreaker in the third set to beat Mikael Ymer.

Lajovic beat Thiago Monteiro 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. He then disposed of Elliot Benchetrit 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 in Round 2. Dusan’s playing better than Zverev. Although Alexander is favored here, Lajovic could upset his younger rival at much better odds.

Tennis Betting Pick: Dusan Lajovic

Del Potro hasn’t had an easy match yet at the 2019 French Open. Nicolas Jarry took the first set 6-3 in Round 1. In Round 2, Yoshihito Nishioka took the first set against Del Potro 7-5. Juan Martin needed 5 sets, including a tiebreaker set, to get by Nishioka.

Jordan Thompson has had to fight hard as well. He hasn’t had a smooth run to the third round, either. Thompson has a shot, but Del Potro should come out ahead.

Tennis Betting Pick: Martin Del Potro

Naomi Osaka steps it up in major tournaments. She’s won the last couple of majors on the women’s side. Although she’s gotten off to a slow start in both of her first matches at Roland-Garros, she lost 0-6 to Anna Karolina Shmiedlova in the first round and Victoria Azarenka in Round 2, she recovered to win both those matches.

Siniakova has the skills to upset Naomi Osaka. She won’t on Saturday because this is a major tournament. Osaka can turn it on when she must. She should be able to turn it on from the first set versus Katerina Siniakova.

Tennis Betting Pick: Naomi Osaka

Sophia Kenin faces the greatest women’s tennis player of all time on June 1. Kenin won her first round match against Giulia Gatto-Monticone. She beat her second round opponent, Bianca Andreescu, via a walkover, though.

Sophia’s well-rested. Will that help or hurt her versus the great Serena Williams? It should help her. Serena has looked great, but Kenin is a 20-year-old who has no fear. Serena could be vulnerable to the upset loss on June 1.

Tennis Betting Pick: Sofia Kenin
