The signs are certainly there that he is more than ready to make a big move this year, as he won 6 titles in 2023, including at Wimbledon, where he ended Djokovic’s run of 4-straight championships by beating him in the final. Still, you have to consider him a threat.
Jannik Sinner
Another young up and coming star is among the favorites to win the 2024 Australian Open. While Alcaraz is ahead of Sinner on the bookies board, I might be more inclined to put my money on the Italian in this tournament. Sinner went to 7 different tournament finals last season and all of them were on a hard court. He won 4 of those finals, which means he now has 10 career title wins to his name. In fact, if you look back at his career, 13 of the 14 finals that he has reached have been on a hard court.
