The first of two quarterfinal days at the US Open is behind us, and on Wednesday, we’ll learn the final semifinalists in both draws. American Coco Gauff stormed out to an easy win over Jelena Ostapenko, and she will meet No. 10 seed Karolina Muchova in one women’s semifinal.
No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic had no problem at all with American Taylor Fritz, and now he will face another American, 20-year-old Ben Shelton, in the semis.
As for the other parts of the draw, MyBookie has the best US Open tennis odds for Wednesday’s action from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York.

Quarterfinals: Wednesday September 6th, 2023
Sabalenka, Keys Favored
No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka probably expected to face her nemesis Ons Jabeur in the quarterfinals, but instead, she will be a big favorite against Qinwen Zheng. The No. 23 seed from China has one career WTA title, and this is her first career grand slam. Sabalenka will move to the top spot in the world after this tournament, and she is playing in her fifth straight slam quarterfinal, and she is 6-0 in her career in this round.
These two have never met on the WTA Tour. Sabalenka is favored to win at -380 on the moneyline, and Zheng is +248 to win. Over 21.5 games is +102, and under 21.5 games is -120. To back Sabalenka, the play is -1.5 sets at -148.
The odds are much closer for the night semifinal as No. 17 Madison Keys faces No. 9 Marketa Vondrousova. As in the other match, these two have never played each other on the WTA Tour. Keys is favored at MyBookie at -141, and Vondrousova is +102.
Experience won’t be a factor in this one, as Keys holds a 5-4 grand slam quarterfinal record and one final appearance. Vondousova won Wimbledon this summer in her first trip to the quarterfinals since falling in the 2019 French Open final.
Over 21.5 games is -120, and the under is +100. This match has all the feels of a three-setter, which is +112.
Alcaraz, Medvedev Headed For Showdown?
No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz will find things much tougher this round, but the defending champion is still a huge favorite at MyBookie. His match against No. 12 Alexander Zverev gets the prime time slot on Arthur Ashe, and Alcaraz is a -480 moneyline favorite. Zverev is +330 on the moneyline to reach the semifinals.
Alcaraz has reached the quarters in four straight slams in which he has played and six of the last eight. He is 3-2 in this round for his career, while Zverev is 6-3, including a 2-0 mark at this slam. Zverev had to play nearly five hours on Monday to beat Jannik Sinner in five sets to reach this round, while Alcaraz cruised to an easy straight-set win.
Zverev leads the all-time series 3-2, but Alcaraz dominated their last match, 6-1, 6-2 on clay in Madrid. Zverev won their only slam meeting, a four-setter at the 2022 French Open. Look for both players to win a set, but ultimately, Alcaraz is stronger and well-rested to win this match.
Heading into the US Open Semifinals
The other semifinal features two Russians going head-to-head as No. 3 Daniil Medvedev is favored over No. 8 Andrey Rublev. Medvedev won the US Open in 2021, has three slam runner ups and is 6-1 in quarterfinals.
Rublev lost in the quarters at both the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year, plus last year’s US Open, and he’s 0-8 in slam quarterfinals.
Medvedev is -270 on the moneyline to win, while Rublev is +202. Total games is 38.5, with the over at -121 and the under at +107. Medvedev leads the all-time series 5-2 with a 6-2, 6-2 win this season. He has twice knocked off Rublev in the Grand Slam quarterfinals, both times in straight sets.
