Betting the Wimbledon Semifinals

The semifinals for both the WTA and ATP Wimbledon Tournaments are set.

Over on the women’s singles side, Barbora Krejcikova takes on Elena Rybakina and Jasmine Paolini throws down against Donna Vekic.

On the men’s side, Carlos Alcaraz hopes to march into a second straight major tournament final when he steps onto the grass court against Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic battles underdog Lorenzo Musetti. Which players get it done and battle for the Wimbledon plate over the weekend?

See below for tennis odds, analysis, and free picks for this year’s Wimbledon Semifinal matches.

Barbora Krejcikova (+330) vs Elena Rybakina (-435)

Thursday, July 11

Krejcikova has had a remarkable Wimbledon run.

In her last couple of matches, Barbora has beaten seeded players Danielle Collins and Jelena Ostapenko.

Not only has Krejcikova won, but she’s won in straight sets.

But even though Krejcikova is playing fantastic tennis, beating Elena Rybakina is a whole other ball game.

The world’s fourth ranked player is looking to add another plate to the Wimbledon hardware she won in 2022.

Rybakina has lost a single set during the tournament. Elena rolls.

Wimbledon Semifinals Pick: Elena Rybakina

Donna Vekic (+150) vs Jasmine Paolini (-182)

Donna Vekic is playing terrific tennis.

She’s also showing that she can pick herself up after failing.

Vekic lost the first set in her quarterfinals victory over Lulu Sun.

Donna then proceeded to take over the match, winning the next two sets.

Things don’t get easier for Vekic on Thursday.

Jasmine Paolini beat Mirra Andreeva in the semifinals at the French Open. Paolini lost in the finals to Iga Swiatek.

Paolini dominated Emma Navarro in straight sets.

If anything Jasmine heads to the Wimbledon semis playing better than she did at Roland Garros.

The chalk prevails.

Daniil Medvedev vs Carlos Alcaraz

Friday, July 12

Once oddsmakers set a games spread, lay the games on Alcaraz.

Carlos is going to be too big of a moneyline favorite to back him on the ML.

But Alcaraz will be playable on the games spread.

Daniil Medvedev is great, but the underdog required 5 sets and 2 tiebreakers to get by Jannik Sinner.

Even though Medvedev gets a day of rest, it’s going to be tough for him to beat the French Open winner.

Alcaraz lost the first set to Tommy Paul before winning in straight sets.

Carlos is looking to add a Wimbledon plate to his 2024 hall. Alcaraz covers.

Lorenzo Musetti vs Novak Djokovic

Here’s another where laying the games is going to make sense.

Novak Djokovic has played this Wimbledon tournament under the radar because for the first time this year, Djoker is feeling good.

Lorenzo Musetti played 5 sets and a tiebreaker to get by Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals.

No way he stays close against a well-rested Djokovic.

All Novak had to do was show up in a walkover victory against Alex De Minaur.

Then in his fourth round win, Djokovic beat Holger Rune in straight sets. Novak covers.

The second semifinal features No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz against No. 3 Daniil Medvedev.

On Saturday, Wimbledon will crown a first-time champion on the women’s side as No. 6 Ons Jabeur against unseeded Marketa Vondrousova.

Let’s take a closer look at the Wimbledon betting lines for the men’s and women’s Singles Semi-finals matches.

Second Women’s Semifinal Goes the Distance

On Thursday, the women’s semifinals took place, and the second match went the distance. Jabeur prevailed over Australian Open champion and No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka. After losing the first set in a tiebreaker, Jabeur grabbed a late break in the second set to win 6-4. She was in control the entire third set and held off Sabalenka 6-3 to reach the final for a second straight season.

Jabeur lost in the final in 2022 after winning the first set against Elana Rybakina. She also fell in the US Open final last year so this will be her third final in the last 13 months, and she looks for his first grand slam title.

Vondrousova Beats Svitolina

In the first semifinal on Thursday, Vondrousova knocked off wild card Elina Svitolina 6-3, 6-3. She will be playing in her second final after falling in the 2019 French Open championship. Both Vondoursova and Svitolina had taken time away from the tour, for different reasons, so both were unseeded for Wimbledon.

Vondrousova already knocked off No. 4 Jess Pegula in the quarters before taking down Svitolina. She was slightly favored in the semifinal matchup, so while it may have been an upset in the minds of cheering fans, it was as expected by the oddsmakers.

Next Matches to Bet

Djokovic won the first set and is leading the second, so that match looks to be in the books. The second semifinal has Alcaraz -265 against Medvedev at +202. The total games is 40.5 with the over at -110 and the under at -119.

As for the women’s final on Saturday, Jabeur has opened as the favorite. She is -214 at MyBookie to break through and win her first grand slam. A native of Tunisia, she would be both the first Arab woman and the first woman from Africa to win a Grand Slam title.

Vondrousova is +184 to win her first grand slam and join Petra Kvitova as recent Wimbledon champions from the Czech Republic.

They are 3-3 against each other all-time, with Vondrousova winning the last two matches. She beat Jabeur in straight sets at Indian Wells in March and also upset the Tunisian in the second round of the Australian Open in three sets. Jabeur won matchups in 2021 and 2022 while the two split challenger matches nearly a decade ago.

The men’s final odds will be set after the two semifinals on Friday. Remember to check out MyBookie for the latest and best tennis odds as Wimbledon comes to a close this weekend.
