UFC Fight Night: Volkov Vs Rozenstruik Fight Info and Main Card

  • When: June 4, 2022
  • Where: UFC Apex, Las Vegas, NV
  • TV / Streaming: ESPN+

Alonzo Menifield -260 vs Askar Mozharov +210

All of 11-3 Alonzo Menifield’s losses have occurred in his last 5 fights. Menifield lost his last bout via unanimous decision to William Knight. Before losing the last, Menifield had won 2 straight.

Askar Mozharov is on a three-match winning streak. But Mozharov takes a huge step up in class. Still, the underdog has a 3-inch height advantage and the odds make Mozharov an overlay.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Askar Mozharov

Ode Osbourne -190 vs Zarrukh Adashev +160

10-4 Ode Osbourne has won 3 and lost 2 in his last 5. Osbourne hasn’t fought since last November when he beat C.J. Vergara via unanimous decision.

Zarrukh Adashev has a 4-3 record. The underdog won his last bout via unanimous decision. But the chalk has a 2 inches height advantage and an 8-inch reach advantage. Osbourne takes this.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Ode Osbourne

Karine Silva -125 vs Poliana Botelho +105

14-4 Silva is three inches shorter than 8-4 Botelho. So we must assume Silva is the favorite due to her better record.

The chalk has won 5 straight. Silva’s last loss happened in 2019 via unanimous decision to Dione Silva Barbosa de Lima.

Botelho has lost 3-of-4, including her last. But there’s a reason to believe Botelho steps it up in this. She’s fought the tougher opponents and she does have the 3-inch height advantage.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Poliana Botelho

Michael Trizano -230 vs Lucas Almeida +190

10-2 Michael Trizano takes on 3-1 Lucas Almeida in what promises to be one of the most competitive fights on the main card. Trizano has lost 2-of-3.

The three matches happened in different years. So the favorite hasn’t been as active as we might expect. Almeida has won 4-of-5. But none his bouts have taken place at UFC. This is a step up for the underdog. But although Trizano should win, his odds are much too low. The underdog is the play.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Lucas Almeida

Dan Ige +330 vs Movsar Evloev -420

Movsar Evloev is 15-0. The Russian fighter is a huge favorite over the well-respected Dan Ige mainly because of his undefeated record.

Ige is 15-5. But although still able to fight competitively, it’s apparent that Dan is on the tail end of his career. He’s lost 3-of-4. Evloev should dominate from beginning to end.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Movsar Evloev

Alexander Volkov -160 vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik +135

Alexander Volkov is 34-10. Jairzinho Rozenstruik is 12-3. Volkov has a 2-inch reach advantage and a 5-inch height advantage.

But overall, Rozenstruik has fought the better opponents. So just because Volkov is taller and longer, it doesn’t mean he’s the automatic one to back. Jairzinho will fight hard in this match.

At the end, though, Volkov should get the win. Volkov has the slightly better ground game. So if Alexander uses his reach to keep Rozenstruick from knocking him out and then gets the fight to the ground, he should win.

UFC Fight Night Pick: Alexander Volkov
