Top 2021 WNBA Playoffs Matches to Bet On the Week: Semi-Finals

The playoffs continue for the WNBA, with things starting to now heat up. The top two seeds, the Sun and Aces, have had free passes to the semis, which will see their game 1’s played on Tuesday night. The single-elimination matchups featured some incredible battles.

But now it’s time to take a look at things and what’s to come for the league so you can continue making your bets against the WNBA odds.

WNBA Playoffs Games for the Week

Chicago Sky vs Connecticut Sun

The first game of Tuesday night’s doubleheader will feature Chicago and Connecticut going at it in the best-of-5 series. Chicago was able to pick up a few wins to make it to the semis, and they are not going to be an easy team to take out.

Candace Parker is looking very good so far on the big stage, with players like Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley shining. The two are married and show great chemistry on the court, showing to be big-time players when the team needs them.

As for the Sun, they have not lost in a long time. They won their final 15 games of the regular season, heading into the postseason on a high note. Jonquel Jones is in the running for league MVP, and if she doesn’t win, perhaps the fans might think she should have and start a dialogue.

They are coming off a disappointing year in the bubble, so the fact that they are in this position at all is incredible. They will hope to win a few games on their home court and go for the sweep on Sunday.

As for the Sky, if they can pull the upset, they would be road warriors for the finals as well.

Phoenix Mercury vs Las Vegas Aces

The #5 seeded Mercury held off a late rally by the #8 Liberty earlier in the week. They won the game with some late foul shots. And then, heading to Seattle, they had a very tough task. But they took the Storm to task and wound up with that win. They have all the momentum coming into Las Vegas.

Even with Diana Taurasi out, they managed to beat NY. That showed everything that there is to have to know about them. They are extremely tough and use Britney Griner’s size to their advantage. Now, they are but three wins away from a trip to the finals.

On the other side, Las Vegas is hoping to take all the young talent they have and use it to their advantage. They took some of college basketball’s best and brightest stars in recent years, with the likes of A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young. Kelsey Plum has been more than serviceable off the bench, with Liz Cambage getting it done in the middle.

Cambage will have a tall task (literally) going against Britney Griner. But she’s capable of doing it alone, while so many teams have to double-team to slow her up. With the shooters on the wing, they can handle the veterans of Phoenix.

They will open things up Tuesday night at 10:00, and the individual matchups will be must-see. Shoutout to Skylar Diggins, who has been a perfect fit for the Mercury.
