Must Bet Games in Week 9 of the 2022-23 NFL Season

2022 NFL Week 9

  • When: Thursday, Nov. 3 – Monday, Nov. 7

Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots | Sunday, Nov. 6

When the Patriots host the Colts, both teams should be in playoff contention. Indianapolis is one of the AFC conference favorites. New England remains under the radar heading into the second half of August, but the Patriots won’t be a bad team.

Which squad gets it done? New England’s defense will find a way to temper Jonathan Taylor’s rushing and Matt Ryan’s passing. The Patriots win and cover.

NFL Week 9 Pick: New England Patriots

Minnesota Vikings at Washington Commanders | Sunday, Nov. 6

Nobody expects the Vikings to win the NFC North or the Commanders to win the NFC East. But both Minnesota and Washington should be in line for wildcard berths.

The Vikings will field one of the league’s top offenses. The defense is a mess. If Chase Young is healthy, the Commanders’ defense can be one of the top units in the league. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins doesn’t always play well on the road and he returns to D.C. after starting his career at Washington.

So the Commanders should be fired up for this. Ron Rivera’s squad gets the SU and ATS victory.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Washington Commanders

Las Vegas Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars | Sunday, Nov. 6

Both the Raiders and Jaguars will field good offenses and decent defenses. On paper, the Jags matchup well with Las Vegas. But there’s something different about this season’s Raiders squad.

Sometimes, a franchise can make a single move, like hiring a genius offensive coordinator like Josh McDaniels, that makes them a Super Bowl contender. Both teams hired great coaches, but Vegas’ offense is loaded with veterans. The Raiders get the road win and cover.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Las Vegas Raiders

Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Sunday, Nov. 6

Heading into the season, both the Rams and Bucs must answer some questions. Tampa Bay’s offense line may not be up to the standards required to win their division.

Matthew Stafford’s elbow is a legit concern. Both teams could be on the borderline to make the playoffs by NFL Week 9. Of the two, the Rams should offer overlay odds to win straight up. So backing the LAR moneyline in this contest makes some sense.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Los Angeles Rams

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs | Sunday, Nov. 6

It’s difficult to envision the Titans traveling to Kansas City and upsetting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. But the betting line should be much higher than it should.

KC is a good team. The Chiefs don’t always cover. They especially have difficult covering spreads at home versus top rushing teams. The anticipation is that KC offers underlay odds against the spread. The Titans should be a good play ATS.

NFL Week 9 Pick: Tennessee Titans

Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints | Monday, Nov. 7

The Saints will field one of the best defenses in the league. That alone makes New Orleans the team to back. It’s not that Baltimore will be a bad team.

Far from it. But the Ravens may not have the passing attack that can hang with Jameis Winston, Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Jarvis Landry. The Saints should win and cover.

NFL Week 9 Pick: New Orleans Saints
