  • When: Saturday, Nov. 13

Alycia Baumgardner +275 vs Terri Harper -350 – WBC Women’s Junior Lightweight Title

Harper is 11-0-1 with 6 knockout victories. Most consider Harper one of the best women boxers in the world. She’s got a very good chin and long reach, which will help her keep Baumgardner at bay.

But Baumgardner, 10-1 with 6 knockout victories, has some power. Harper tends to fight moving in a straight line, something the underdog can use to her advantage. This won’t be an easy win for Harper. In close fights, it’s best to take the better odds on the underdog.

Boxing Pick: Alycia Baumgardner

Kid Galahad -1200 vs Kiko Martinez +600 – IBF Featherweight Title

Since a 2019 loss to Josh Warrington, Kid Galahad has beaten Claudio Marrero and James Dickens. On Saturday, Galahad takes on Kiko Martinez.

The underdog is 42-10-2 with 29 knockout wins. It’s difficult to understand why Galahad would fight Martinez, who obviously has only a small chance of winning this. 17-of-28 Kid Galahad victories have come via TKO or KO. So study round props before backing Galahad on the moneyline.

Boxing Pick: Kid Galahad

Alexis Rocha -800 vs Jeovanis Barraza +400

Alexis Rocha is 17-1 with 11 knockout wins. Rocha’s lone loss happened versus 23-0 Rashidi Ellis. On Saturday, Rocha takes on a fighter with a decent 23-1 record.

But Jeovanis Barraza’s first fight in the states happened on Oct. 29 versus Jorge Martin Garcia. Barraza’s only loss was against a now 35-year-old Venezuelan boxer making his debut. Barraza simply doesn’t have the skills or relevant experience to hang with Rocha.

Boxing Pick: Alexis Rocha

Gabriel Rosado +350 vs Jaime Munguia -600

Munguia versus Rosado is shaping as a competitive fight. Based on records, Munguia easily takes this. The favorite is 37-0 with 30 knockout wins.

But Gabriel Rosado has fought some decent guys, including Daniel Jacobs last year. Rosado could make life difficult for Munguia.

Rosado won’t go down easily. In the end, though, Munguia’s power should be too much. Look for a late round KO prop bet on Munguia.

Boxing Pick: Jaime Munguia

Francisco Emanuel Torres +750 vs Jose Benavidez Jr. -1500

27-1 with 18 knockout victories, Joe Benavidez Jr. hasn’t fought since 2018 when he suffered a 12-round TKO loss to Terence Crawford.

17-3 Francisco Manuel Torres has just 5 knockout wins. Torres hasn’t come close to fighting a boxer as talented as Benavidez. Jose should dominate from the opening bell in what should end up a glorified sparring session.

Boxing Pick: Jose Benavidez Jr.

David Benavidez -2000 vs Kyrone Davis +1000

24-0 with 21 knockout victories, David Benavidez has dominated every fighter he’s faced. Although Kyrone Davis is a decent boxer, he doesn’t stand much chance against Benavidez.

Davis will make the fight entertaining in the first round. The challenger throws a lot of punches. But Benavidez is a master counter puncher. So we shouldn’t be surprised if the chalk catches Davis with a knockout punch in the first or second round.

Boxing Pick: David Benavidez
