27-year-old reigning champ Felix Cash comes into this bout off an eighth round TKO win over Jack Cullen in November and has not been beaten in a dozen career bouts. 34-year-old Jason Welborn has lost consecutive fights including an eighth round TKO loss against James Metcalf last June. With Welborn going an uninspiring 5-4 over his last nine fights, I’ll be stunned if Cash doesn’t finish this fight inside the distance. Cash is the young, stronger – and clearly better – fighter in this pairing and probably should be a much bigger favorite than he already is. Keep it simple and back the reigning champ to retain his Commonwealth middleweight title in this affair.

23-year-old David Benavidez will make his first title defense after taking out Anthony Dirrell via ninth round TKO in September. The win was his second straight TKO finish after he took out Ronald Gavril in consecutive fights in late 2017 and early 2018. 36-year-old Roamer Alexis Angulo has won three straight fights since suffering his only career loss in June of 2018 and comes into this affair off a narrow split decision win over Anthony Sims in January. While both of these fighters possess plenty of knockout power, I’m going with the younger Benavidez to get it done in his first title defense. Angulo didn’t exactly set the place on fire as he eked out a narrow in in his last bout and that just doesn’t bode well heading ino this title fight against a fighter that has yet to be beaten in his career.

Rolando Romero (11-0) vs. Jackson Martinez (19-0)
Vacant WBA interim Lightweight Title

24-year-old Rolando Romero is unbeaten in 11 career fights, but more importantly, he’s won an impressive six consecutive fights via stoppage including his stunning second round KO win over Arturs Ahmetovs in February. 29-year-old Jackson Martinez is unbeaten in 19 career fights and comes into this bout off a TKO win over Yardley Armenta Cruz in December following four unanimous decision wins and a retirement in his previous five fights.
This matchup should be an absolute thriller, but ‘m going with the younger Romero to get it done, seeing as how he’s training with Floyd Mayweather’s team in Vegas and will surely be on guard against the dangerous Martinez. The best wager here is for this one to go the distance.

Cecilia Brækhus (36-0, 9 KO’s) vs. Jessica McCaskill (7-2, 3 KO’s)

38-year-old Cecilia Braekhus is unbeaten in a whopping 36 career fights and comes into this affair riding a four-fight streak of unanimous decision wins, including her win over Victoria Bustos in November. 35-year-old Jessica McCaskill has won three consecutive fights following her unanimous decision loss against Katie Taylor in December of 2017. She comes into this title bout off a narrow, mixed decision win over Erica Farias in October. Simply put, there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that McCaskill records the stunning upset in this mismatch of a title fight. Cecilia Braekhus gets her first stoppage win since October of 2017. Sorry, not sorry!
