Sure College Football Over/Under Picks For The Weekend

Written by on September 13, 2016

We are only two weeks into the 2016 college football season, and we have already been treated to some great games, and a rather staggering amount of surprise results. Week 2 was particularly odd, as many of the top teams struggled against lesser opposition. If we have learned anything so far, it’s that we shouldn’t count out the underdogs this year, which is why it might not be a bad idea to switch to the OVER/UNDER picks until things start to settle down a little. That is what I am going to be doing in Week 3 of the college football season, so let’s take a look at some of the online betting picks that I like for this coming weekend.

A Closer Look At The Sure College Football Over/Under Picks For The Weekend

Houston Cougars at Cincinnati Bearcats – UNDER

Each of these teams has played two games, and they have both seen each of those games hit the UNDER. Houston Cougars have had totals of over 65 points in each of the games that they have played, and they haven’t come close to seeing the over. They are putting points on the board, but they are defensively sound and just not giving up much. The same rules apply for the Bearcats, although they did fall just a point shy of hitting the over last weekend. I like the UNDER for this one on Thursday night.

Iowa State Cyclones at TCU Horned Frogs – OVER

It doesn’t seem to matter what the bookies set the point total at for TCU, they always seem to find a way to smash through it. Both of their games this season have gone OVER, and not by a small margin either. They will face an Iowa State team this weekend whose first two games of the season have both hit the under, but only just. TCU are coming off a loss to Arkansas, and will be looking to take out their revenge on the Cyclones. Look for TCU to score early and often, and for the OVER to hit pretty quickly.

Miami Hurricanes at Appalachian State Mountaineers – UNDER

It has been a good start to the season for the Miami Hurricanes under new head coach Mark Richt, but this one may be their toughest test yet. Miami is 1-1 O/U, and took a little offensive dip in Week 2 after a big blowout win to get the season started. Appalachian State played tough in Week 1 and almost sprung the big upset in Tennessee. The won in Week 2, seeing the UNDER hit for the second time this season. I expect this one to be tight, and I think the UNDER looks like the play here.

Georgia at Missouri – UNDER

Georgia went into Week 2 of the season on a real high after taking out North Carolina in the opening week of the season, but they barely got by Nicholls State with a 26-24 win. This looks like an offense that is still trying to figure things out, and they have seen both of their games this season go UNDER. The Missouri Tigers are 1-1 O/U so far this season, but always seem to have close games against the Bulldogs, The last two meetings between these teams went UNDER, and I think it’ll be more of the same this weekend.
