Week 12 College Football Parlay Picks

Written by on November 15, 2016

While the term trifecta is generally associated with the fun-filled sport of thoroughbred racing, college football betting aficionados across the globe will have a great chance to cash in on their own ‘trifecta’ thanks to the trio of Week 12 parlay picks that I’m about to offer up. With that said, let’s rock and roll.

A Closer Look At The Week 12 College Football Parlay Picks

Virginia at Georgia Tech -10.5

When: 12:30 PM ET, Saturday, November 19, 2016 Where: Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia TV: ACC Network Odds: Georgia Tech -10.5 Analysis: The Virginia Cavaliers (2-8 SU, 5-5 ATS) have dropped five straight games and never showed up in their humbling 34-14 loss against Miami on Saturday. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) and their powerful triple option rushing attack overwhelmed No. 14 Virginia Tech in its 30-20 shocker this past weekend to easily cash in as a bankroll-boosting 14-point underdog. Now, the Yellow Jackets are the easy pick to win and cover the spread against the reeling Cavaliers in this Week 122 ACC clash. Georgia Tech has a gifted quarterback in Justin Thomas that will be back on the field after missing last week’s game and an underrated running back in Marcus Marshall. Not only that, but Georgia Tech got a message from head coach Paul Johnson last week that six wins is unacceptable and that his team should be shooting for nine wins this season. Virginia gives up eight points per game more than they average (24.3 ppg) and the Cavs are 1-4 ATS in its last five games and an identical 1-4 ATS in their last five home dates against Georgia Tech. Simply put, the Yellow Jackets the easy pick to win and cover the spread. Pick: Georgia Tech -10.5

Miami at NC State

When: 12:30 PM ET, Saturday, November 19, 2016 Where: Carter Finley Stadium, Raleigh, North Carolina TV: ACC Network Odds: Miami -3 Analysis: The Miami Hurricanes (6-4 SU, 6-4 ATS) have won two straight and pounded Virginia 34-14 last weekend as quarterback Brad Kaaya tossed two TD passes and Mark Walton rushed for 11 yards and another score. NC State (5-5 SU, 7-3 ATS) snapped its four-game losing streak by smacking Syracuse around in their 35-20 Week 11 win as running back Matt Dayes led the way with 108 rushing yards and three touchdowns. While this Week 12 ACC clash looks like it could be thrilling affair, for me, the Miami Hurricanes are the pick to get the win and ATS cover despite being on the road. Miami averages approximately eight points per game more than NC State while also giving up four fewer points per game defensively. Not only does Miami rank a stellar 14th nationally in points allowed, but the Canes also have the best two players in this matchup in quarterback Brad Kaaya and running back Mark Walton. These teams have split the last four meetings evenly while winning once on their opponents’ home field, but NC State has struggled to score the ball in a big way recently. While Miami has scored at least 27 points in each of their last three games, NC State was held to 20 points or less in each of their four previous games before beating lowly Syracuse this past weekend. While North Carolina State has gone 6-2 ATS in its last eight games and Miami is just 2-4 ATS in their last six games, I’m going to urge you to go against the key trends in this matchup to simply back the better team in this contest. Pick: Miami -3 Points

Florida at No. 24 LSU

When: 1:00 PM ET, Saturday, November 19, 2016 Where: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, Louisiana TV: SEC Network Odds: LSU -14 Analysis: The Florida Gators and 24th-ranked LSU Tigers both rebounded from losses in Week 10 to beat their respective opponents this past weekend. Florida got past scrappy South Carolina 20-7 as 10.5-point favorites as quarterback Austin Appleby threw two touchdown passes and got a career-high 134 rushing yards from running back Jordan Scarlett. LSU man-handled Arkansas in its overwhelming 38-10 blowout on Saturday as running back Derrius Grice rushed for a career-high 252 yards and fellow back Leonard Fournette added three scores. While LSU is the only team with a national ranking in this affair, I’m going to urge you to back Florida to cover the college football betting line with room to spare. The Gators have an elite defense that ranks fifth nationally and should be able to keep LSU’s now, dual-threat rushing attack mostly in check. Not only that, but statistically, less than one point separates these two SEC foes with LSU averaging 1.2 points per game more than Florida, but the Gators giving up just over a half-point fewer points per game defensively. LSU will win this home contest to improve their chances of reaching a New Year’s Bowl game, but the Gators will cover the spread in a matchup that looks like classic field goal matchup to me. Pick: Florida +14 Points
