Best Cricket Betting Games: Australia Tour of India Looms

With the 2023 ODI World Cup just seven months away now, cricket-playing nations around the world are busy building their squads and momentum ahead of the big tournament.

This week some of the key contenders at the 2023 ODI World Cup will be facing off against each other—but not in ODI cricket. Australia and India will kick off an exciting series, with the Aussies attempting to pull of the holy grail of Test cricket: A win in India.

We preview the best cricket bets to make on this match, and look at other games coming up this week as well.

Weekly Rundown of Cricket Games | Australia Tour of India Looms

Australia Tour of India – First Test (February 9-13)

It doesn’t get any better than this. Australia and India are No.1 and No.2 in the ICC Test rankings, and are placed No.1 and No.2 in the World Test Championship as well. Over the last two years, only two teams have beaten Australia in Test match cricket—one of them is India; in the last six years, India have only lost twice at home—one of those times was to Australia.

The conditions are perfect for a cracking Test series here, which gets underway on the 9th of February in Nagpur, India. The teams will contest four Test matches, before heading into white ball cricket and playing three ODIs as well. With India at +230 to win the 2023 ODI World Cup, and Australia at +400, this should be a fantastic tour all up.

We say the first Test will be a draw in Nagpur. India are notorious for bowling teams out in their spin-friendly conditions, but Australia have been playing such excellent Test cricket—particularly their batsmen—that it’s still hard to see the home side taking 20 wickets. Expect this to be a real arm wrestle, with both sides testing the other out, and ultimately ending in a stalemate.

West Indies Tour of Zimbabwe – Second Test (February 12-16)

Two other teams who will be vying to be at the 2023 ODI World Cup, but don’t have their participation entirely confirmed yet, are the West Indies and Zimbabwe. These two nations are also busy playing Test match cricket this week, with the second Test due to commence on the 12th of February.

At the time of writing, the first Test match is still being played. With rain stealing more than a day’s play, the West Indies are in a race against the clock to bowl out Zimbabwe twice, after posting an impressive 447/6d. Whether or not Zimbabwe manage to cling on and force a draw in the first Test, the West Indies will be eager to do it all again in the second Test and have a full five days at the home side.

The West Indies are a huge outside chance at the 2023 ODI World Cup later this year, with odds of +2300. Zimbabwe are even longer at +48000.

Could the West Indies pull off a miracle and win their third title?
