eSports Betting: League of Legends LPL Summer Split June 30th Matches

Written by on June 29, 2020

The first couple of weeks of any new season, regardless of the sport, don’t really tell us very much. Once we get a month in, though, that’s when the picture becomes a little clearer. The League of Legends Summer Season is in full swing across the globe, with a spot in the 2020 World Championships up for grabs. It’s a massive prize that is potentially viewed as being more valuable than winning the Summer League, as the prizes and acclaim that come with winning that upcoming event are huge. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming matches so you can place your bets against their League of Legends odds.

League of Legends LPL June 30th Matches

We are 4 weeks into the season in the LPL, the Chinese region of the League of Legends, and a clear leader has emerged. While Top Esports are making it look easy at the moment, there is still a long way to go, not to mention the playoffs to handle. A lot can change in the coming weeks, so every single game on the schedule is important. We are going to look ahead to the Tuesday games on the LPL calendar and make some predictions as we go, so let’s get right to it.

LNG Esports (-161) Vs Bilibili Gaming (+110)

It is still way too early in the season to start writing teams off, but that task might become a little easier after this one, as both of these teams are in dire need of a win. LNG are down in 14th in a 17-team league with a record of 2-4, going 5-9 in the games total. This is not that surprising when you consider that this is the same team that finished near the bottom in the Spring Season, going 5-11 a few months back.

The current plight of Bilibili Gaming is a little more surprising, though, as they just missed out on the playoffs last season, going 7-9 and basically missing out by a single win. They are off to a really poor start this season, though, picking up just 1 win in their first 5 matches. They are also just 3-9 in total games played to this point, so not a lot to like here.

This one looks like a bit of a toss-up, but at least LNG have been keeping matches close. I am on them to get the win here.

Team WE (-125) Vs Royal Never Give Up (-114)

What we have here is a fantastic matchup between a pair of teams who are off to a very solid start this season. Team WE are sitting at 4-2 and are in 4th place thanks to their game winning differential, which is at +5 after going 10-5 in games played. They are looking to improve on an 8-8 season in Spring that saw them make the playoffs before losing in the quarterfinal against EDG.

Royal Never Give Up have the same 4-2 record as their opponent, but their 8-6 game record has them sitting lower than Team WE. It was the opposite last season, as they were able to finish ahead of Team WE in Spring, although that meant little, as they went out in the opening round of the playoffs.

This is a tough one to pick, but I am leaning towards Team We.
