The 2018 WGC-Mexico Championship will take place at the Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City, Mexico for the second straight year and this year’s field is loaded and brimming with betting possibilities in the MYBookie sportsbook! This year’s field is headlined by headlined by stars like World No. 1 Dustin Johnson, No. 2 John Rahm, No. 3 Justin Thomas, No. 4 Jordan Spieth and many more. As a matter of fact, all but five of the world top 50 are in the field, with Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Henrik Stenson skipping, and Hideki Matsuyama and Brooks Koepka unable to play because of injuries. Analysis

Since the run of the calendar, Johnson won the Sentry Tournament of Champions that took place from Jan. 4-7 in Maui. Patton Kizzire won the Sony Open the following week in Honolulu. John Rahm won the CareerBuilder Challenge in LaQuinta, CA from Jan 18-21. Jason day won the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open the following week in San Diego and Gary Woodland won the Waste Management Phoenix Open when it took place from Feb. 1-4 in Scottsdale. Veteran, Bubba Watson won the Genesis Open in Pacific Palisades, CA from Feb 15-18 and Justin Thomas won the 2018 Honda Classic this past weekend in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. So, with no repeat winners so far in 2018, I’m going to say the odds are that someone besides Dustin Johnson – or any of the other aforementioned winners this year, brings home the bacon in Mexico.

Expert Betting Pick

For me, I like the trio of Tommy Fleetwood and Rickie Fowler at +1500 and Justin Rose at +1600. Fleetwood fished fourth in the Honda Classic after a tie for 37th in the Genesis Open. Fowler finished tied for fourth at the Sentry Open and tied for 11th at the Waste Management Open. Despite missing the last four weeks, Justin Rose is also offering some good value for me after finishing tied for eighth at the Farmers. Of course, Justin Thomas is a great pick, seeing as how he’s probably playing better than anyone on the planet right now and DJ is always a good pick to win whenever he shows up. Still, right now I’m going with Tommy Fleetwood to get the win, followed by Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler. Fleetwood lost to Johnson by a single shot last year, so he’s going to be looking to finish this year after coming up agonizingly short a year ago. Let it be noted that, a win by Rose would allow him to join Woods and Johnson as the only men to win consecutive WGC starts and John Rahm has a pair of top-3 finishes in four WGC starts, including a loss to Johnson in last year’s WGC Dell Match Play final.
