2017 MLB Colorado At Seattle Winning Predictions

Written by on May 30, 2017

Even if you are a huge fan of baseball, there are times in the season when things can start to get a little bit monotonous. It’s tough to maintain a high level of interest for each of the 162 games that your team plays, but things really start to pick up when you get to face a team that you don’t see very often. There is a reason why MLB has decided to expand the number of interleague games over the years, and much of it has to do with keeping the fans excited during a part of the season when there would ordinarily be a little bit of a lull.

There is no lack of excitement in Colorado right now, though, as the Rockies are off to a fast start that has vaulted them right to the top of the NL West. Things have not gone so well for the Seattle Mariners this season, as they are stuck in an AL West division that has been very good so far. This interleague series will switch from Colorado to Seattle on Wednesday night for game 3 of 4.

Why bet on the Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies (33-20) have been one of the more pleasant surprises through the first couple of months of the season. They are a team that a lot of people pegged as a potential dark horse, but they have proven to be even better than expected, and are currently clinging to a half game lead over the Dodgers in the NL West. The Rockies got this series off to a disappointing start by losing 6-5 in the opening game, but they actually have reason to be optimistic when heading out on the road on Wednesday. While the Rockies have a winning record at home, they have done most of their damage on the road, going 18-8 so far. Antonio Sentazela (7-1, 3.19 ERA) will start for the Rockies. Why bet on the Seattle Mariners

Why bet on the Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners (23-29) are already 13 games adrift of the top spot in their division, and really aren’t doing enough to close the gap. Yes, they have won back to back games to start the week, but they are also just 3-7 in their last 10. One area where they have shined so far this season, though, is in interleague play, where they are currently in possession of a 6-3 record after toppling the Rockies in the opening game of this series. While that was certainly a good win, they could have more of an issue when they welcome the Rockies into Seattle, as Colorado has been an absolute beast on the road. James Paxton (3-0, 1.43 ERA) will start for Seattle.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

Avery good pitching match-up on tap for this one, but I am giving the edge to the Rockies. When Sentazela pitches, Colorado wins more often than not.
