Why Bet On The Seattle Mariners?
Why should you consider betting on Seattle? Paxton took a no-decision after allowing two runs on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts in five innings Wednesday vs. the Rangers. Seattle is coming off a three-game sweep of Tampa Bay over the weekend in which they outscored the Rays 9-5 while limiting Tampa Bay to a lone run in each of the final two games of the series.Why Bet On The Houston Astros?
Why should you consider betting on Houston in this series opener? Well, there’s the fact that the ‘Stros are looking to snap a two-game skid, so they’ve got plenty of motivation, as the MLB Spread suggests. Then, there’s the fact that Houston is the far better statistical team as they rank sixth in scoring (4.93 rpg) and first in team ERA (2.82), WHIP (1.03), strikeouts (632) and quality starts (46). There’s also the fact that Houston took three of four against Seattle in April while outscoring the Mariners by the combined score of 20-4 over the final three games of a four-game set. Last but not least, Houston ace left-hander Dallas Keuchel is due for some good luck after he took his seventh loss of the season by giving up four runs on seven hits in five innings in his last start to lose to the Yankees for the second time this year.
“I made the pitches I wanted to and felt good about it, but the results aren’t there,” Keuchel said. “One or two pitches here or there through the first 11 outings is the difference between 3-7 and 7-3. I’m going to keep churning.”
