MLB Betting Predictions for the Angels @ Astros Series

There are some big MLB series set to take place to begin the month of June, and this is really when things start to heat up around the league. The Houston Astros host the Los Angeles Angels for a four-game series that is set to begin on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Angels have been a bit better than expected this season as they will come into this series with a record above the .500 mark. Los Angeles is finishing up a series in Chicago, and things haven’t been going well over the last week.

The Houston Astros enter the final day of May with a 32-22 record, and they look like they are really start to turn things around. Houston is still among the list of betting favorites to win the World Series, and they will be in the mix at the end of the season.

Both of these teams are looking up at the Texas Rangers in the standings, and they will be trying to close the gap this weekend.

Check out MLB lines for this weekend’s Los Angeles Angels vs. Houston Astros series along with analysis and free picks for all four matchups.

Stars Shining Bright For Angels

The Los Angeles Angels have two of the best players in baseball on their roster in Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout, and both players are having a big year. Ohtani leads the team with 13 home runs and 34 RBIs.

This Angels team has belted 73 home runs this season, and they have also hit for a high average. Los Angeles will need to score a ton of runs this weekend, but that won’t be easy to do against the Astros pitching staff.

Ohtani will also take the mound on Friday, and he has gone 5-1 with a 2.91 ERA. The Angels will need to win that start as they have some other pitchers that have struggled.

Houston Can Pitch

The Houston Astros are still trying to get the offense to a World Series championship level, but this team has been pitching well all season. Houston will come into this series with a team ERA of right around 3.10, and they have plenty of big arms.

Cristian Javier will start against Ohtani on Friday and he has gone 6-1 with a 2.97 ERA this season. The Astros will try to shut down the Angels, but they have to keep the ball in the ballpark.

Yordan Alvarez is having a huge season at the plate for the Astros as he leads the team with 14 home runs and 48 runs batted in. Houston might not be having huge games on offense, but they have the ability to break out.

Angels Aiming For the Split

Playing the Astros in Houston is never easy to do, but the Angels have had plenty of experience at Minute Maid Park. Los Angeles will have their two best pitchers on the mound to begin the series, and those need to be wins for the Angels.

Houston is starting to get healthy at the right time, and that lineup has the ability to put up a ton of runs. The Astros are going to get at least two wins in this series at home, but that might be all that they can get.

It would be a great weekend for the Angels if they are able to get a split in Houston.
