MLB Betting Predictions for the Complete Blue Jays @ Astros Series

Two of the best teams in the American League are set to meet up on Monday night to begin a four-game series. The Houston Astros will visit the Toronto Blue Jays, and this should be a battle for four straight days.

MLB Toronto and Houston: Monday, June 5 – Thursday, June 8, 2023

Astros Getting Some Outs

Most people tend to focus on the offense of the Houston Astros when looking at this team, but the starting rotation sets the tone. Houston comes into this series with a team ERA of 3.24, and they have a couple of dominant starters ready to go in this series.

Framber Valdez is the best of the group, and he will start in the series finale for the Astros. Valdez has gone 6-4 with a 2.16 ERA this season, and he has what it takes to completely take over a game.

Yordan Alvarez leads the offense with 15 home runs and 51 RBIs and he just continues to do damage when he’s at the plate. There are some holes in this lineup, but they can also break out and score runs in bunches.

Blue Jays Want to Mash

The Toronto Blue Jays have some impressive pitching numbers as well this season, but this team wants to win with offense. Toronto comes into this series with a team batting average of .266, and they are also a team loaded with power

Bo Bichette leads the way with 12 home runs to go along with a .329 batting average, and he tends to set the tone for this offense. The Blue Jays can be tough to stop at home, especially when they get rolling on offense.

The pitching staff is holding opponents to a .233 batting average, but they have also issued 201 walks. Toronto will need to limit the free passes against this great Astros lineup.

Expect Plenty of Offense

While both of these teams have proven to have solid pitching staffs this season, this matchup is going to come down to the offenses. Toronto has been a better offensive team overall, but the Houston Astros have a deep lineup.

Houston is starting to get healthy again, and they have some starting pitchers that should have some great outings in this one. Toronto will try to counter by hitting the ball out of the ballpark, and it’s going to lead to some great battles.

This feels like a series that is evenly matched, and you should expect that each team will pick up two wins.
