In two starts, Ober is throwing great. Although he’s only pitched 11 innings, Bailey has displayed the type of throws that could lead to a victory on Friday. Ober is 1-0, has allowed 7 hits, and just 2 earned runs in those 11 innings.

Ober also has 10 strikeouts and a 1.06 WHIP. Minnesota’s starter on Friday appears to have an edge over his counterpart.

Peyton Battenfield shows 3 starts on the season. Battenfield is 0-2. Cleveland’s Friday starter has allowed 9 earned runs from 3 home runs and has struck out 14 in 17.1 innings.

Battenfield has a 4.67 ERA, which isn’t bad. But Battenfield has a 1.56 WHIP, which could get him in trouble in this. The Twins get the nod.

Logan Allen is throwing great. Cleveland’s Saturday starter has a 1-1 record with a 2.45 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. Allen has struck out 16 batters in 11 innings. He’s allowed just 3 earned runs off 9 hits.

Allen has also walked just 3 batters. But although Allen is throwing lights out, the Guardians face a Cy Young contender on Saturday.

Twins’ ace Sonny Gray is tossing like the Cy trophy is resting in his gym bag. Gray is 4-0 with a .77 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP. Sonny has struck out 41 in 35 innings pitched. Eventually, Gray is going to struggle. But he shouldn’t struggle on Saturday.

Joe Ryan is 5-0 with a 2.37 ERA. Ryan shows 43 strikeouts in 38 innings pitched. Ryan’s WHIP is .76. Like Sonny Gray in the second game, Ryan should eventually lose a matchup.

But also like Gray, Ryan shouldn’t lose his first matchup this weekend. Minnesota completes the three-game series sweep.
